I have 3000/3000 reputation gained but can’t seem to finish the weekly quest due to Community Feast.
I’ve been to the place a few times over the past week, can never “catch it”. When I hover over the horn on the map I always see “the cooking is over but you can still eat soup” or something of the sort.
I even downloaded a weakaura from wago io “Dragonflight event tracker” but it doesn’t seem to be correct, because when I go there, the event doesn’t start.
Can you please guide me how to determine at what hour this thing starts so I can be there?
On the one hand I can excuse a lot of it because I don’t have to do it to remain competitive at all and the events aren’t terrible either, but on the other it’s a really huge thing for my reputations and to have such a tiny thing get in the way is just annoying.
I actually want to do the feast but every time I check it’s over. Sometimes the event even disappears as I cross the zone boundary on my way there.
I usually show up to the cooking site when the soup serving phase has about 10 minutes left & just afk.
After the 10 minutes comes 15 minutes of more waiting & then the event starts.
Works every time.
Should be though. It’s just the map doesn’t show timers, and even when it does they’re often wrong. But yeah, you’re right.
EDIT: I wouldn’t mind them not showing if doing them wasn’t so important though. As a fun diversion they’re great, but that means they can’t be in the weekly. Gotta choose!
Google “WoW community Feast Tracker” and find when the next one will happen, they’re every hour and a half (used to be 3.5 hours).
When it’s about to start fly to the Tuskar Village.
There should be a kid next to the pot with a quest, pick this up as it is to do 5 tasks in feasts (can be done over more than one but usually doesn’t need more than one).
When the Feast event starts you will get a timer on the right hand side of your screen (unless some UI addon does something weird). This will count down to 15 minutes to 0.
There will be text by the timer giving instructions. The easiest one is “Kitchen Duty” which is a group task, just hit stuff and press action buttons if they appear.
Some instructiosn will say “Something Cold” or “Something Salty” etc. moust over this text and it will explain where to get these things. Follow the instructions (usually has yellow dots marked on minimap).
After you do this for 15 minutes and if the soup is done well enough (you’ll see a counter over the pot indicating how well the soup is going) a boss will spawn. His name is “Bisq—” something or other. Kill him and loot and maybe get some gear etc.
Hand in Quest and get a soup pot which is basically a reward chest which cna have gear or currency.
And the weekly quest needs a click on the “Yes chef” action button, I think, or at least that suffices, because it counts as another participation in addition to the task itself.
So if one takes up the 5-tasks quest, you can finish it with doing 3 tasks and 2 Yes-chef confirmations.
I recommend focusing on presence early, since the fast progression through soup levels means many high-reputation defend-phases.
I also recommend doing it ungrouped, because it seems like grouping reduces the number of tasks assigned to you. It’s actually most rewarding to do it when few people are participating, minus the loot chance on Bisquius.
As for the timing, one merely needs to check what the horn says and if it says cooking is over, then check the timer and add 15 minutes to that and that’s when the next event starts.
