There’s no point opening a fresh realm now, especially whilst the game is currently on-going.
Like the current “dead” realms, I highly doubt that many people would reroll now.

Please no to layering. But improve your servers, its unplayable in SW before someone pops the head.

Free transfers are only from Firemaw and only to 3 realms, 2 of which are what they call “dead”…
If there were transfers also from Mograine, Gehennas, whatever others have the queues, and also to more realms, and if they closed paid transfers to the overpopulated realms, then the problem would disappear without any layering.
Your full servers go FULL just in 10% of time of day when rest of day there is no queue.

They could just have been realistic with the server capacities and locked any realm when it was truly full. On launch they didn’t have enough servers prepared for the massive demand, which worsened the population issue. People were stuffed into few realms with layering on. Later on they made new servers and opened free transfers, which was a fix offered too late.
Back on to topic, the reason they aren’t going to bother boosting the capacity of servers is because it’s not cost effective. They found the sweet spot and they’re not going to increase the capacity any other way than artificially.

Lol they should just force the Tourists to go to low pop servers. Those damn Corona Tourists who recently started playing again are what makes the poluation spike which makes it worse for people who actually play this game Daily or even weekly pre corona.

Do you really want to rank people who is more valuable classic player and who is less? We all pay for this sub and even people who will never play classic have the same rights to do so as you. Nothing special about people who play from day 1 except they are better geared.

Well seeing as Character Creation is locked and Transfers to full realms aren’t allowed, It seems Blizzard Agrees with what i ment. I honestly don’t care about How valuable you are. What i mean is Why not go to a realm that isn’t full, if you are new or haven’t settled yet in a realm community? I’d rather have the full realms get less population and the low/medium get a bit more. This ain’t about ranking. This is about making the game enjoyable for all while not wasting Regular’s peoples time waiting in queue due to Pandemic Tourisme. My character was on Golemagg and still is since Name Day.
