I think Frost Mage on demand burst could use a nerf… I.E maybe a 20% nerf to Meteor / Comet storm, and I think the random high end burst of elemental still needs to be toned down.
Also how about giving DK some survival buffs to melee? Like the Death Strike PVP could be buffed to 35% physical damage reduction for 4-5 seconds after a Deathstrike.
Could use some more nerfs to ret too the sanc change is a good start but lets also make spellwarding dispellable or cut the duration in half and make it so the 50% damage nerf is put back on bubble.
I personally think that Sanc and Sacrifice should be a choice node in the Paladin talent… i think they both exceptionally strong, and also adding the “auto sanc” option like the “auto sacrifice” would help low skilled rets whilst also allowing good players to abuse the auto level.
it also means they don’t offer too much defensives, but i guess its too hard for blizz to make valid choice nodes nowadays.
I think sanc and sac are good for the game its how it should be they should not be auto its just the skillcap of ret using team utility the problem is you have to kill them 2-3 times because they can instant top themselfs with lay on hands become immune to magic with spellwarding while still doing max damage and the same with bubble its just too much when the game revolves around dampening.
Lay on hands should be effected by dampening for rets thats for sure.
I think a good amount of rets would take the removal of Spell warding and maybe a LOH becoming a 50% max heal on a 2 minute CD, if Divine Protection could be like 30-40% for 10 seconds. Spell warding is obnoxious because they can give it other players.
divine protection is a 1 minute cd and can be used in stun tho it would have to be a 3 minute cd if it was that strong its obnoxious on themself too tbh when it gets to lets say 50% dampening and the ret is low and a caster is low and they try to bait the ret behind the pilar where the healer is so it would be a 2v1 and the ret can just pop wings and spell warding and W them down with no counter play other than MD or a meele peel.
LOH shouldnt be in arena at all tbh not even healthstone heals team members for 50% hp and its a 1 use ability unless you drop combat and on a very long cd while been effected by dampening.
We dont need to buff classes to give them nerfs it just defeats the purpose of a nerf sanc could stay at 45 second cd ret just has too many abilities that buff the classes it plays with for it to be strong itself take ret/warr or DH for example you can just double freedom run down healers and the only way to stop them is hard CC completely negating one of DHs weaknesses to roots.
i mean if you reduced LOH by 50% and made it effected by dampening, and then removed Sepllward. then you would need a much more powerful divine protection?
i’m not advacating adding more defensives, i’m saying in the spirit of removing immunities.
if you removed immunities and didn’t compensate them, paladin would be eternally in F tier given they could never survive.
Paladin could move back to what it once was if you nerf the defensive play it used to be a burst spec and never even had access to LOH spellwarding does not need removing it just needs it duration cut in half or make it so you can purge it just like bop the ability is fine to go on a lower cd if its purgeable.
the problem with it is there is no counter play to it if a mage blocks he cant attack or move his character the immunties rets have just let them W key and a 50% heal is still massive it can completely shut down a go and turn the game around its like if priest life swap it has counter play it puts the priest to 20% hp even forb is a problem currently its such a low cd that they can get away with even wasting these abilities and using the wrong ones.
And why did dh gain 4% flat buff exactly but something like demo got even the useless buffs on spells that dont matter pulled back from the last tuning (for context, dh dmg is overtuned already and demos dmg nonexistent), doesnt make much sense to me.
Might as well give random flat 10% buff for ele and retribution next just for humours sake I guess, it wouldnt be any different to the current tuning and power structures I have to witness every season in this game.
It kinda seem like some type of wheel is turned and if it stops on x its “aha 5% flat buff for x” and nevermind the fact if its already strong in the game, and for some reason this wheel is also rigged as so that the wheel never stops on demo but instead we make the specs strong that counters it like warrior and even keep buffing some of them more for humour.
It has a lot lower dmg than other good specs right now but the random root procs make it most played from mages cause how much it harms all these melees.
