This makes absolutely no sense, and the only reason I can think of is to make people feel like special snowflakes for bypassing the absurd job requirements to be in a mythic raiding guild. Would it really hurt their feelings so much to see pugs downing mythic bosses before them, so us puggers have to be artifically held back by these arbitrary restrictions?
As for the argument to “just join a guild”, some of us are not blessed to be on an active server where mythic raiding guilds even exist. I’m on a server with a horde/alliance ratio of about 95:5, and as one of the top DH tanks on my server it’s nigh impossible to join a mythic raiding guild since they simply don’t exist. Since Blizzard refuses to rectify this problem by merging servers, is it fair that those of us on dead servers aren’t allowed to even attempt any of the first easy mythic bosses? Just let us pug the mythic raid already, I’m sure those in elite guilds will be able to mentally cope when we down it.

yeah never understood the idea behind it, why keep Mythic raids locked to servers, it doesnt realy benefit anyone exept top raiding guilds and just artificaly holds back anyone else.

You plan to jump from 2/12 lfr into mythic pugging?

The fact that you feel so defensive at the suggestion of puggers even having the opportunity to down the first three mythic bosses, which have always been loot pinatas, says enough.
Mythic pugs for the first 1-3 bosses spring up after idk, a week? If that. Just search your server name in the group finder at prime time and you’ll likely see a Mythic run being formed if you’re on an active server / connected group.
Mythic is groups ran entirley by the player, you get no buffs unlike with heroic or LFR for playing with randoms. Its all purely ran by the players, like in the old days.

My server is dead and I refuse to pay for a realm change. I’m being locked out of content simply because so-called elite guilds don’t want to compete with puggers.
This is a joke post… Right… ?
Itz Vinz he will grow on you .
WB VInz you been gone far to long
Many of the mythic bosses just have one extra basic mechanic. For Wrathion it’s literally just “don’t move too much” in mythic. So the answer is yes, I fully believe believe that us lowly puggers are capable of handling such complexity, as much as it may shock you.
The first 3 bosses are incredibly puggable, yes.
So go do it.
As PUG player I think Mythic raids should remain as it is, killable for the first months by server groups or guilds.
If Blizzard implements puggable Mythic raiding early, in my opinion, it’d devalue the idea of Mythic raiding, it’s one of the few ‘original ideals’ that remain in-game.
Ideally Mythic raiding should be done only by organized guilds, since that’s not longer a thing (because of Mythic PUGs) Blizzard should keep it lock unlit fights are nerf and some guilds have progressed.
You don’t need Mythic raiding in order to get decent gear. And to be honest very few groups are able to complete runs (usually PUGs kill few bosses, mostly first three bosses) so you don’t get a faithful experience either.
I think Blizzard should, firstly, address low population realm issues rather than cross-realm Mythic PUGs.
Maybe you didn’t get the point of my post: I’m on a dead realm. If the only way you can make mythic raiders feel special is by denying puggers access to even attempt their content, then the system is rotten to the core. The only way that access should be denied is by sheer difficulty, NOT by disabling group finder and putting those of us on dead servers far behind low-tier guilds who have been farming the first EZ bosses for months. So as I said, it seems the only reason us puggers aren’t allowed to do mythic raids for so long is to not hurt the egos of special snowflakes in raiding guilds?
If you’re srsly arguing that puggers shouldn’t be allowed to do it because they won’t complete the run, then guilds shouldn’t get ANY drops in mythic raid unless they kill N’zoth.

I got the point of your post. I play on Argent Dawn Horde, I don’t want to join a Myhtic raiding guild, to an extent we’re on the same boat.
I wouldn’t called it ‘ego’, I think it’s more about preserving the ‘original ideal of raiding’.
Mythic raiding PUGs are an unpleasant experience to say at least.
And no, guilds should get gear by killing bosses and progressing because the objective of a Mythic guild is cleaning the raid, not doing some bosses.
I want to progress with puggers from different servers, not suck up to some control freak guild leader and play with a bunch of fake elitists. I don’t think it’s right to deny mythic raiding access to us puggers who are unlucky enough to be on dead servers, which Blizzard refuses to fix.
I guess we disagree. I think mostly of Mythic PUGs are unable to ‘progress’ …at least I wouldn’t call joining a Mythic PUG with different people every week ‘progression’. Perhaps you mean personal progression?
On a side note, out of curiosity, may I as if this character is your main. If so, you’re not actually on a dead realm, you for some reason (entirely valuable) choose to roll Alliance of the biggest Horde realm.
Have you consider starting on a new realm (creating a new character that is)? It’s easier to find more opportunities elsewhere instead of waiting Blizzard to fix ‘dead realm’ issues or asking for something to be implemented.
we need flex mode for mythic or atleast a 10man

I pretty sure Blizzard didn’t put a big flashing warning sign that this was a dead realm for Alliance when I rolled here. I am demanding that they either fix the dead realm issue or grant me access to mythic raiding through cross-realm group finder. My message to those in raiding guilds who are offended by the prospect of puggers downing mythic bosses before them is this: Get over it.
