How could you possibly manage to disimprove

Every aspect of your game since Legion. I get that there will be the odd thing that does not evolve well xpac to xpac but literally nothing has been improved since Legion and a whole bunch of things are subjectively worse, a lot worse in some instances. I mean how its that possible?

Maybe give examples?

I would say instances are the best example, along with m+. Legion dungeons were planned with m+ in mind, but in BfA it seems rushed, both the general outlay and affixes.

World Quest are the same all together. Kirin Tor bullsh*t is now called Tortollan Seekers, but fundamentally we got back the minigames.

Faction Campaign is also the same thing as the Class Hall campaign was, but without the real RP feeling. Once again we are demoted to common soldiers.

I could go on for a while…

Is disimprove even a word?

An alternative & opposite to ā€˜improve’ may well exist, but ā€˜disimprove’ is doubtfully the requisite term.

Maybe it’s an American word? I don’t recognise it as an English one. Not everyone’s first language is English either.

If I can understand what someone means I usually go with it

Disimprove is an actual word, although it doesn’t quite sound like it.

I believe it is a British word though.

Yeah lets focus on the grammar, as if that actualy matters in a game forum, gj guys u never cease to disappoint me.

Yeah, the 3617361828. Crythread is more important. Let’s rather discuss the same matter over and over again.

Doesn’t matter how many times it is discussed if the issue is not being attended.

A fair point, but you could equally be asked to give counterexamples.

Let’s break it down into areas:

Features common to all expansions:
Zones
Story & Characters
Classes
Quests
Progression (levelling)
Progession (pre-raid)
Progession (raid+)
Levelling and Heroic Dungeons
Mythic-Plus
Raids
Arena
BGs
Professions
Collections
Attunements & Flying

Features specific to Legion & BFA:
Artefact Power is common to both
Islands have been added
Warfronts have been added

Please feel free to add other areas important to you that I’ve missed.

How would you score each of these, considering only Legion vs BfA?

We might well find people who feel that things are much the same in various areas, but it would be interesting to see an argument that something has made a big improvement.

My own general feeling, as far as I can see, is that most areas are very similar, but watered-down or slowed down from Legion.

P.S. And do people with Google and online dictionaries at their fingertips really have to ask is something is a word? :stuck_out_tongue:

Simple,

First step : Merge with Activision
Second step: Disrespect your customers.

It’s not recognised in the Oxford English Dictionary but is recognised in Merriam Webster. So it’s an Americanism :stuck_out_tongue:

you forgot step 3 - put financial gains as a main priority.

Here’s 4 for a start:
Mission table
Chests
Rares
Professions

Actually the opposite was true. Legion dungeons were not made with M+ in mind BfA were. This is were I think they went wrong.

But if it’s the same then how did they ā€œdisimporveā€ it.

Depending on your class the missions were bad. The patch missions are very formulaic. If you done one class you did them all. The class campaigns were stretched with many garrison class missions.

They seem to be saving some of it for the patches rather than giving us 90% of it at the beginning.

I’d look up their relationship with Activison and when it happened.

But, that’s the only goal a company SHOULD have! Greater financial gains are to be made when you create a product or service which people actually want to give you money for. By messing up their game, Blizzard loses cash. Sub numbers have been steadily dropping.

I WISH they would think about making money more than they do now. Then, they would actually make a game people would buy and we would all be happy, or atleast happier than now.

the first step is pretty much just that.

Maybe you should. I see you waving the pom poms a lot which is fine, I’m glad people are invested and having fun.

It’s just, you’re always so_vague_ when it comes to actually saying what you’re finding fun?

Maybe they just ran out of ideas… The fundamentals of the game are pretty limiting what with being a pointy clicky format. If you think about the very first thing you do in Classic… it kinda hasn’t changed. Just a more elaborate form of Space Invaders with you as the fighting ship and the invaders… well pretty much anything in game. Just a case of how many times you need to hit the thing before its dead. Whats the difference.

The marvel is that it managed to recycle the same old concept for so long before folk started to realise just what a hampster wheel the game really is… I mean, I had never done any of the Legion content or been to the zones and then I ported to the new Dalaran at level 105 as a mage. And I was amazed at just how much of the original Dalaran had been totally reused. Its not a critism, but with stuff being so common place its a wonder older players find anything new to do anymore.

However, it can be fun if you enjoy the familiar style of the game. If you like your furniture just the way it is. For me its a reassuring world that I just love being in. So its not a problem. It hasn’t gotten any worse… it basically just is the same as its always been… just with extra added trumpets…

In truth its the actual players that have gotten more sophisticated. That’s why Blizzard bought Candy Crush … ( sorry I need one of those funny symbols… how do I do that again )

With all due respect - I’m not the one complaining. OP creates a post telling us about the game getting worse but then gives no indication about what/why. So I simply asked him to ā€œgive examplesā€ of what he thought was worse.
