I thought it would be a funny thing to see how many people have died and because of their reasons.
Try to keep it somewhere on topic, replying to others is allowed but try to not derail the topic too much.
Ill start off:
Started playing this mode a week ago. Leveled a warrior as I wanted to challenge myself. Got to level 33 without that much struggle, just took a while as it was my first HC character.
I went to gnomeregan. We did all bosses but figured we forgot one. Just finishing the last boss we went back up. But instead of taking the path on the side we had already cleared, our retri paladin leaded us through the middle. He was pretty much geared to the teeth with a epic 2h axe and all.
A few packs further ahead i noticed one ninja pulled a mob to the side. It was at this moment that was very bad. Just finishing up the pack and noticing the ninja pull, I tell the party to wait and stop. The greedy paladin pulled the next pack. At this point i shouldve heartstoned, but I didnt. We all ranā¦ rogue vanished and left party instantly. While running I asked: āwhat should we do?ā. As I was the tank, the healer said kill, kill, kill. So I turned around, aggroed all mobs. They kept running, leaving the party. I knew I was dead at this point. I tried to jump down, land in between to packs, hoping I could HSā¦ but I pulled another mob which pulled the whole pack and I died.
It honesty felt very bad because of a lot of reasons but I felt betrayed. I didnt ninja pull, i tried sticking it out for the team and without hesitation they just abandoned me and they all survived in the end.

Oneshotted by a mind controlled warrior in sunken temple at 55 (I was holy priest)
The biggest threat on hardcore are truly other players
The game froze, pet would not attack, shoots not shoot, respawns happened. Splat.
Saw a group of 5 mobs and decided that Iām a fury warrior from retail. They explained me that I was wrong very fast. Level 51.

My first hunter died at Durnhold when all mobs respawned as I was getting to the stairs. Concussive shot missed a fleeing rogue and it pulled 3 mobsā¦ā¦I ran upstairs into other spawned mobsā¦ā¦history; lvl 23.
Lesson learnt? Donāt go anywhere where thereās limited escape capabilityā¦ā¦

I died from an AFK because I had to change my nephewās diaperā¦ I canāt say my death was as glorious as yours

Was in Arathi Highlands near the thundering exiles, got my quest and a big tree fell outside my window. Checked with the workers about their job and when i looked back on my screen i was just dead as a rock. 41 warrior. Stupid to look away from the screen but it is what it is.

Hahaha some unlucky and unfortunate stories. It does make me chuckle a little 
Yes but Im never going to play priest again. My new healer is paladin. At least I got hoj, bubble and bop and a bit more armour (yeees I know pallys wear cloth anyway but still)

Imagine that you can die by lvl 1 mob in starter zone as 60
I pulled a lvl 17 as a level 15 Warlock, Did not have a Voidwalker up at the time.
Did not see this guy had like 3 small adds with him.
So i died while running away.
Not gonna re-do that lvling, So i quit at 1 death.

First time, it was around lvl 25. Played mage, went to Durnholde keep at Hillsbrad.
Cleared a house, went to windows to check some details of that q quickly. Came back in like 30 seconds, I was attacked by two guys that respawnedā¦ Managed to kill one, but did not have anything to heal up to be able to kill second, as they managed to hit me hard before I came backā¦
Second time I plainly totaly forgot I play wow due to some other stuff happenin, went afk and died afkā¦ lvl 14 I think, nothing serious.
Third time I died to server lag. I was fighting a mob at Silverpine forest. Suddenly my game lagged, I was not able to cast any spell. After like 20 seconds, I realized, that my chat still works and I can chat with my guild without any issuesā¦ I noticed because I saw a message that I diedā¦ Really strange thingā¦
Maybe I should have restarted the game as soon as I realized it is frozen and I cant cast any more spells or do a potionā¦ I was thinking about it the whole time, could not make my mind, what if it took too long and I would come back dead anyway? But what if it worked? I kinda believed until the last moment it will unfreeze and I will be able to finish that guy with sheep and some bandagesā¦
But this death was turning point to me.
Finding out, that there is no way to appeal this, as my connection was working, I was able to use chat and talk to my guild, while my game was frozen and I knew I am dead only cos I saw it in chatā¦
Really annoying, no connection problems on my sideā¦ Makes me feel there is no point in playing this, and I think that many players who experience death like this(fault at Blizzard side) will be discouraged to play this game anymore.
I mean, the number of bots ingame and Blizzards inability to solve it is bad enough by itself, adding this to itā¦
Bye bye Blizzard, I will rather pay some contribution to private server that really cares about their player base
Iām ashamed to admit it, but Murlockā¦ F**kinā Murlocks! The beach in Westfall is like the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan. The bodies of fallen heroes being trampled by fiendish little beasts yelling āLurlurlurlurā!!!

I handed some quests in at darkshire in duskwood, watched stitches getting killed by the town guards. Then i headed for STV down the road.
Deciding now was the best time to order a curry on uber-eats i hit autorun, 30 seconds later iām rerolling my level 26 priest who died to stitches the marathon runner!
The curry was nice though so totally worth it.

I did something similar on my L44 hunter in Badlands - at the end of the quest āSeal of the Earthā I clicked on the pillar at the end of the quest and up popped two L50 elite dragons!
A warning to others to check out any quests which are new to you.

I walk onto elevator in 1k needels . i make sure it just came up so i wouldnt die.
i step into it and elevator despawn and i fall to my death
just like in the clip below (not my death thou )
