i recently came back and noticed that i have to setup an authenicator to make groups in groupfinder… now the issue is whenever i try it says inactive, and setting one up forces me to get a serial number and authenticator code, but i do not have that?? i get a 10 minute code to enter before to setup this but where do i get a serial number??

So there are indeed sheep willing to install an authenticator JUST because Blizzard is trying to force their hand with dubious tactics …

I mean… 2fa is generally a good thing.
OTOH, I understand when people don’t want to bother for WoW. It’s not internet banking, it doesn’t need to be super secure, and if 2fa is getting in the way, then 2fa wasn’t worth it.
I am curious what % of players will have the app in 3 months time however. I won’t, because my 5yo phone is full. Completely. There are no apps on it, and still no storage space. I cannot install a new thing. And I doubt I have the oldest phone on the forums, so I’m sure others have similar problems.
But I don’t pug, thus this doesn’t affect me in any way. I’m almost never going to be listing groups in the finder; and this inconvenience guarantees that it will become genuinely never.

I have the same problem with my phone xD. Today i did a raid and the leader left and we couldnt change the groups title and people signing up couldnt see our groups progress. So people join and leave because they thought it was a fresh run lol. We ended up disbanning… : /
