since we dont have undispellable freedom anymore this just feels like its completely impossible - anyone have some advice?
Quite easy, if the mage has some brain cells u cant 1v1 a mage at this state of ret. When do you even have to do that? Duels? 3v3 u can beat but not 1v1.
mainly battlegrounds (random, blitz and rbg) when defending 1on1
Defending solo as ret isn’t the best choice tbh. Unless your team mates can instantly rotate to you within bubble / trinket time. Otherwise you will just get CCd and capped on. Ret are a solid team fighter right now. Not so much 1v1. Particularly against mages.
As ret Its hard.
We are losing blessing of spellwarding next patch which is our magic immunity bubble.
If you fight a mage that have some brain never.
