Hey!
Is there anyone that can help me how I can become self sufficient (for heroic raiding & M+) on alts? I’ve got all the professions set up, yet I am unable to get enough knowledge on alts or just get stuck on poor quality of whatever I need.
How do I actually manage to be self sufficient since I do not have gold to buy all consumes? 
Really not liking this profession overhaul 
why don’t you like the profession overhaul? there’s nothing in what you mentioned that is related to the profession system.
as for your question, use gathering on your alts. that’s the way of being self-sufficient. even though I came into DF with 2m gold, I didn’t want to just throw that away, so I made a gathering alt.
Here is my setup as a JC: main has ench + JC (spec deep into rings and necks, to have some control over my gear in PvE content) and the alt for this main is Mining (spec into finding more ores and blues) + JC (spec into prospecting, to get the most out of what I mine and send everything to the main); and I am more than self-sufficient. Make sure you get all the free knowledge points from the one-time profession specific treasures and from the Master trainers out in the world (you can find their locations on wowhead, in the extensive guide on knowledge points).
What I mean with self sufficient, is not needing the AH for anything.
So this means I have a LW/Skinning Main, a Gathering alt, 2 JC/Ench alts (since one had to spec into gems, other into the Tiered Medallion Setting), 1 Alchemist/Engi Alt, a BS Alt & a Tailoring/Inscrip alt.
So in total 7 chars, on which I need to farm knowledge & lvl up my skill to have the highest rank in something I require to be prepped for raid/high M+.
Since I barely have time to play my alts, I am knowledge/skill starved. So I got to the point where I can make most of what I require, but all of them at rank 1 or 2… So I need to grind a lot more to get to rank 3.
Therefor I am really hating this prof overhaul, as I used to be able to just grab an alt, get it profs, get it to max & make myself whatever I needed.
yeah… it’s definitely a lot more rewarding of a game for those that put in the time, now. no cutting corners as much… excluding bugs and exploits ofc.
Maybe because it is fundamentally flawed in so many ways? The ones in chsrge of this system must surely be looking for other jobs right now. Would be hard to come up with something worse than this. Total dysfunction.

not the experience I’ve had - just curious, what game are you playing? are you even trying to play the systems?
