I’m trying to gain friendship level with Gina Mudclaw so that I can buy a strawhat, but my reputation is not going up despite doing quests in the area.
Does anyone know what to do? :o

The Halfhill pandaren are a big faction grind (but worth it for the hats and goats).
The dailies will change, so if Gina has a blue !, that’s a day to do hers. General quests for “the Tillers” won’t get friendship with a specific person. You can also learn what she likes to eat and cook it for her every day - not sure you see this if you don’t have some in your inventory, but it’s a good speed boost.
In addition, you can fly around the Valley’s farming areas looking for patches of Dark Soil - these have one of six potential drops. Used to be she’d only want the marshlillies, but now you can turn in anything for a lower amount of rep.
If you want to get rep with all of them though, make sure you give them their favourite, because you get a lot more rep for the correct turn in. (Are you sure you mean Gina? I thought Old Hillpaw was the hat guy…)

There is a bunch of Tillers and they all have slightly different tastes but the same mechanic works for them all. They all like some type of food you can cook (using ingredients mostly from your farm but some might requiring hunting tigers or fishing salmon). They all like gifts (some like apples and some like other things).
Check the guides and see what food she likes and cook it and give it to her once a day.
Can take a while to progress the reps though. I did them all last year (as well as Nat Pagle’s fishing). So they all best friends now. Took weeks of flying around fishing, hunting, planting, harvesting and cooking.
But you get cooking skill points, fishing skill points and some reps along the way. You can get some achievements and toys too.

wowhead says u need to level up friendship with another guy and he gives u the hat!
It appears Old Hillpaw only sends you the cloth version, but the quest I’m trying to do should allow you to purchase the hat for cloth, leather or plate.
You can buy a leather mogable one from Gina once you get best friend with old hillpaw.
At least I think that’s right if my memory serves right.
It’s take about 2 hours maybe less to get best friend with old hillpaw.
I never liked Gina. She always seemed a bit smug for my liking.
