So i’ve been trying to gear up with battlegrounds, but so far my experience has been that i have been hit for half my hp by a single attack like templar’s verdict or starsurge.
Honestly, it feels like i should just afk in a corner and gain honor that way. I’m certainly not dealing any damage on my own and getting squished just reduces reinforcements and so on. Is this wow pvp?
Blizzard realised “if you can’t beat them, join them” and instead of getting rid of the issues, they benefit from it. People don’t have time to git gud or wait for soundless spawn 1200 times so they logically rather pay for carry to get that mount/set.
If you really want it, buy tokens and pay for boost (basically just pouring more gas to fire) , or just don’t participate at all. I’m alt tabbing between respawn timers because getting hit for 25k by one ranged ability - no pvp happened.
Your best bet to get anywhere in pvp rating is first ~4 week of every patch or expansion, where everyone is gearing up and there are no boosters or minority of overgeared opponents.
You should try playing rated bg or arena. You’ll have a much better time on very low rating than you will in random bgs/skirmishes. You’ll lose a lot in the start, but once you get to the appropriate mmr you’ll face people of similar gear and skill. The conquest gear is also higher base ilvl than the max ilvl honor gear.
Im afraid that is not possible. Nobody joined my group in over two hours of trying to find people.
And nobody wants and undergeared druid.

You could try in the LF players - pvp forum. Theres plenty of people in your situation. Just make sure to be transparent about your intentions in the post. Find someone who doesnt care at all about rating and you’re good to go 
I Legit just spend 4 hours getin 10 skirmish wins for the weekly quest … it is imposible to play this game if u dont have 40 active friends and 5000 milion gold to pay for boosters if u dont have any friends left but legit everyone i ever played with quit cuz of this system so GG For me might aswell just cancel my sub
How do you change the topic from ‘badly programmed PvP’ to ‘people are too lazy to grind for mounts’?
there’s certain “Meh” level of design that’s extending over multiple facets of this game.
I would not call the players lazy, especially on these super low / hard to spawn mount rares.
Funny how you call people lazy because they dont want to grind mount that has drop chance 1 to 100’s but you make topic that you can’t win one bg that has winrate 1 to 5.

First of all , you can gear up to ilvl 200 from BGs and your main covenant quest.
Best thing you can do is to avoid skirmishes arena and normal BGs and queue for Epic BGs.
If you can go to a weekly mythic to get some gear above 210 that would be also nice.
Don’t expect to gear up within a week… unfortunately it will take a lot of time . Once you gear up to 200 you can try queue for Rated so you can get to 1400 . That will provide equipment to go up to 207 that will e a major upgrade.
Take your time m8, unless you have friends that play a lot of Rated or you got millions , you wont be able to get boosted thus gear up fast.
You dont. Not until 9.1 comes out. Zero reason to play against 100% more HP and 200% times more damage or healing.
Pvp in general has become more and more toxic and less accessable.
There doesn’t seem to be ANYONE else looking for people that are at their own gear/skill level.
I don’t know how to approach pvp at all. the covenant stuff isn’t the answer…i’ve tried on a diffrent character and still got anihilated within a second. getting max pvp gear from random bg’s is the absolute worst experience wow has to offer. All there seem to be in bgs are full elite geared gladiators that just kite you in circles. Honestly, from what i’ve played i came to the conclusion that:
1.) Wow pvp is incredibly inaccessable
2.) nobody wants you unless you are in full conquest gear
3.) random bgs are attrociously bad, overpowered fully geared people ruin the experience completely.
4.) pvp people seem to be horribly toxic
5.) the game Actively encourages you to afk in the corner since:
5.1) It’s easier and requires less effort to gear up
5.2) it’s less demoralizing if you inevitably lose
5.3) There is no incentive to actually participate except for not getting kicked
5.4) people anihilating you with one TV/aimed shot or whatever, then /spit on you doesn’t exactly encourage one to try more.
5.5) It seems like you’re worth more Not actually participating in BG’s with resource mechanics.
In short, wtf am i supposed to do with pvp? Arena’s are impossible to assemble groups for and nobody wants to do rated bgs.
Likewise, unless you are insanely geared, nobody’ll want you for pvp.
They should make it so the honor gear could be upgraded to 200ilvl with HONOR… it’s **** that u req conquest for ilvl 200 crap

If I was trying to gear up just now I’d prolly wait until next season tbh, it’s still doable esp. in rated bgs but you can’t be casual player this season, with commitment to one team I’m almost 2.1k now, but as most of us had little or no rated bg xp it was a pretty long road to get through the milestones like 1.8k with ppl overgearing you. We play so much better than when we started, it’s really satisfying to watch the individual progress. So overall I’m not complaining, I just had to make the switch from uber casual player to somewhat hardcore. I also had to embrace not playing feral but boomie/guardian, that way your spot is guaranteed as druid op.
If you still wanna grind gear this season, you are too low currently, you have to just shut down your brain and let ppl obliterate you until you’re like 30k+ hp and 200 ilvl, then you can think about rated and getting the first upgrade at 1.4 (it’s easy to get to 1.6 gear, I’ve done that on all my alts). Covenant gear and other sources can help too to speed up the process as you’ll be replacing the hnr gear anyway. Obviously you gotta grind conquest as you’re behind on vaults and it’s pointless to hit a milestone with nothing to upgrade :)) Always do all pvp quests, daily pvp wins and the rbgs themselves give tons of conq and hnr so yeah.

By the time u with 197 ilvl gear,farm conquest points for full 200 ilvl gear,you gonna have 500 games played in 2s,and mmr tanked so much,u won’t ever be able to climb out of.
Yes,it takes only 200 or so wins to get all conquest,but you won’t win every game,as a matter of fact,u wont win majority of your games,because you will face 220-226 players at 0 cr.
That’s why most people have 700 games played at 1500 rating.
