Returning from Legion - what should I do? What is a normal level these days? Would I be able to catch up? How do I catch up? Thank you
The catch up is really simple: requirement per level is greatly reduced until you reach a more current level.
The go-to level by now is 80, but 75 grants you the last major boost (3rd minor essence).
Check the Emissaries, those can give you 3k AP if that one is up (I believe we have two of those atm), and do the Island Expedition weekly. You should be up-to-date in a couple days without having to specifically farm it.

Unlock world quests, get the quest to go to Nazjatar and do intro story up until Magni shows up. Go with him, do what he wants and you Heart of Azeroth will go to level 50. You don’t have to anything else in Nazjatar if you don’t want to.
