i have only played on eu before and i want to try and play on us server
do i need to buy game time on us version of wow or how does it work i dont understand

Yes, you can make a free Retail Trial account in US with your EU sub, but if you want to play Era/Anniversary in US, you’ve have to pay a sub there too.
Make and pay for a separate us account.

Basically make an US Account, pay sub and play there. You can use the same Battle.net and select US Realm when playing.
When you say make an us account do you mean making a new battle net account and buying sub on it? also how do i make sure i buy the us version? thank you for answers
