How do i prevent players from adding me to their battlenet?

Uhm, the last time someone added me, I got a notification that gave me the choice to accept or reject.

So just click Reject.

Not sure on that point, to be fair.

You were correct you get the option to accept or decline on bnet. I have a friend who forever leaves requests without a response unless he knows who they are.

I don’t accept random requests, I reject them.

People can add you at character level to their friends lists without any permission needed. That’s the only way though.
