How do I see my characters?

Only retail let’s you login free, and shows you all your characters even how much gold each has etc., really nice.

But if you have more than 1 account, you have no clue what chars you have.
Classic, sod, hc, fresh, cata, all mysteries… what do I have where, who, how much gold, what game mode in do I have any characters at?

And we can’t see any of that unless we first pay a sub.
Wtf is that about? Why can’t we have a preview peek mode to just login to all game modes and see what we have and where etc., so we can decide AFTER that which acc we want to sub to?

Totally agree that this would be a pretty neat feature on it’s own, though for now you can get pretty close using the item restoration service over here: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/restoration/characters

It should show you all character across the battle.net account but can also be separated by account and should hopefully give you an idea of which account to get up and running again on.
