As a real noob I got my character to lvl 120.
I did most of the warcampaign, unlocked zandalari and vulpera.
Did a couple of quests for mother and the little dwarf guy and a allot of island expeditions.
I got my itel level up to 410 ish with some random heroic dungeons and my necklace to 83.
But when I check online I see people playing mythic keystones runs.
How do I start my first one and what do I need to succeed?
How do I get my legendary cloak? I thought I needed to do the “mother” guests but now I am not getting new ones for some reason…
Have you done nazjatar stuff yet? If not, you should have a quest for it. After doing the introductory nazjatar quests, you’ll be given a new questline, and this will lead to the legendary cloak. The little dwarf quests are what you want to do.
You can get your own mythic keystone by either:
Doing a normal mythic dungeon
Doing another mythic keystone.
This will give you your own mythic keystone that you can keep upgrading by doing it in time. You probably won’t be doing any high keystones yet, seeing as your gear is low. I’d really recommend continuing the questlines so you get your legendary cloak, since there are also other mechanics tied to that and you will also get good gear from it very easily.
I cant answer the cloak question because I don’t play Horde, so I cannot direct you.
Mythic keystones are easy enough! Your first step is to enter a mythic dungeon - right click your portrait, change the dungeon difficulty to mythic and form a group from friends, guildies or from the pre-made group finder! After completing your first mythic 0, you will be rewarded with a key!
To level the key up, you must place it in the font of the dungeon the key is labeled for, this will begin that level of keystone which gets upgraded with every dungeon you complete intime! Eventually more affixs are added and so on.
To get your first mythic keystone you must complete any dungeon on mythic difficulty, then you will be rewarded with a keystone which boosts concrete dungeon, but provides greater rewards (and that is called M+). Note that mythic difficulty dungeons are not listed in random dungeon finder, you must create your own group via posting on chat or custom in dungeon finder or join existing one using same channels of communication.

I love BFA more then any other expansion before. Usually I play to level a character, get a mount a couple of pets and then get bored. So much replayability
To unlock mythic keystones, you need to do one normal mythic dungeon. Just set your dungeon difficulty to mythic, then make a group and call it something like “+0” and you’ll get people to join, don’t worry.
For the cloak - get the Wrathion quests, then do dailies in Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, get coalescing visions. You can buy an item from Wrathion that costs 10k visions. Enter the gate in the forge, then talk to Wrathion to start a vision. Do the quest, go out, turn it in, Wrathion will give you a new one, and they will progressively ask you to go deeper into the visions. How quick you can upgrade your cloak is directly tied to your abilitiy to clear visions.
