How do I use the quantum device as boomkin?

Yo,

I recently acquired the inscrutable quantum device which I proceeded to upgrade to ilvl 220 with valor on my boomkin. I know it’s supposed to be BiS for raiding ( at least the pure ST encounters ) but I have no clue when im supposed to use it.

Any boomkins mains that could enlighten me on the matter? Do I use it, then press celestial + convoke or am I meant to pop celestial then the quantum device and then convoke?

Trinkets are not on the gcd, so you could just macro it with one of the spells depending on cooldown.

So it does not matter wether I use it before or after celestial alignment? I’ve heard it’s a weird trinket that does different stuff depending on the situation. So im curious whether or not popping it before/after a major CD will influence what it does. Because im guessing you want to get the fat mastery boost on your convoke.

Probably doesn’t matter, but just to be sure put the trinket before celestial in the macro. Fortunately they are both 3 min cd.

It also seem to consistently increase my haste ( Which arguably is the worst stat to be increased when Im going to convoke ) instead of my mastery. And that’s despite having 24% base haste versus 26% base mastery.

Any idea how I can fix it to make it boost mastery?

I think it’s based on rating, not %.

the trinket with the stat increase works like this, it will take your top two stats and do an internal /roll 2 and give you a proc based on that. So if your haste and mastery is your top stats then it’ll be a 50% chance which proc you get.

So far I’ve tryied it 6 times in a row and it gave me haste 6 times in a row. Which is 1/64 chance. Which isn’t impossible but is starting to be quite unlikely if im being honest.
That’s with 24% base hate versus 27% base mastery.

There’s a weak aura you can use which predicts/shows what it’s going to do at different times - such as when your target is in the correct hp range for it to do a burst of execute damage (which is very nice!) or when it will give your healer mana or heal a party member. Unfortunately it doesn’t predict or show what stats you’ll get from it outside of those specific effect windows.

I have only got haste or mastery (usually mastery) on my balance druid, but did once get versatility on my affliction warlock which was very weird. No idea if it has any connection to any food buffs since I always use mastery food and seem to get mastery procs more often? Could just be random though.

It’s guaranteed highest stat if used after lust and is also 25s instead of 20.

Alright cheers for the infos. So far it’s given me once mastery in 9 procs… Dunno what it’s all about but guess Im gonna be hoping for the divine bell from the mission table from now on lol.

Pretty sure it’s actual stats? You might have 20% haste, 30% mastery for example. But some classes have a higher mastery base, or gain more per mastery. So 20% haste could be 500 haste stat, and your 30% mastery could be 250 mastery stat for 15%, and you get 15% as standard. Therefore you have alot more haste (as an actual stat on gear).

Look at ya DH for example 228 mastery = 26%. 603 haste = 18%. So it would pick haste over mastery.
