How do people deal with Rune slots that can be passive and abilties (keybinds)

The endless struggle of finding the right keybind in WoW has been made even harder with these runes

My first smart idea was to keep rune slots on a specific keybind so that they would always be in the same place, but since some rune slots can also be passive it sometimes wastes that keybind for a passive ability you cannot press anyway

But it does make it easier to remember keybinds as abilities will always be in the same place no matter what

How do ya’ll deal with this?

I’m not dealing with it very well :sob:

It’s a huge pet peeve of mine, the implementation is clunky and the swapping runes back and forth between trash and bosses is already a giant retail-like hassle.

A mixture of macros and being really irritated tbh

  1. Exocism, 2 Crusader strike, 3 Seal of command, 4 Divine storm. F. Seal of the crusader, E. Jusdgement, Q hammer of justice

Other classes need to do this?

Only time i need to switch is kelris for the interupt, or if gnome has an interupt boss as well

Warbringer for warrior is a big offender

With it you don’t need to swap stances so could even charge and intercept on one key

but un equip the rune and you gotta use stance dance macros or mutliple buttons

it’s a major annoyance sometimes to either figure out the right move or be constantly swapping stuff around

i just made macros for my rune slots since it doesn’t use the specific name and just a generic hand/leg slot type command it helps somewhat, just the image that messes me up sometimes when i switch the rune.
I use the action bar scroll and setup a second action bar if i change to shadow for example could probably do something similar if i need an action bar setup with other macros or abilities in but don’t suppose it’s great if you dont use the normal ui

Good to hear i’m not the only one

In classic original u had only shadowbolt to spam so how can be now hard? xD

This is just my forum toon from some random retail server, i play warrior
