How do people justify store mounts and ingame store for a game you pay to play?

I don’t care if people use those words to describe something. I take care of my mentally handicapped aunt and it doesn’t bug me when people use it. Nor does it bug her, unless someone directly called her that, but then they need to deal with me.

I don’t think it’s good to be so sensitive towards life with that attitude. No offence.

Collector’s edition was a pet then, Netherwhelp’s Collar.

The way some people behave online, I think you’re going to be met with a lot of people who don’t think differently from the way they behave on the forums here.

Then why do you constantly nag me then if it doesnt bug you but bugs me when people use it just ignore my comments like you said you were going to instead of taking cheap shots at me all the time if you hate me that much at least admit it and add me to ignore .

People should be polite its pixels nothing more and you are throwing insults and names over it i find that really sad people and you have to stoop to that .

people coming to the defense of microtransactions is cringe in general.

im fine with ambivalence if you dont care but actively going out of your way to defend it is idiotic.

Why can’t you just ignore me instead? Is it that hard? I don’t see how your guilt shaming isn’t going to work here.

Now it’s just pixels? Hmm. Maybe we are agreeing on something here eventually.

Most I see here. Just defend the principle of spending their own earned money in whatever fashion they want. Even if they want to spend(waste depending on each personal opinion) money on store mounts… their choice.

The game is just pixels it means nothing its just a bit of fun or meant to be but people like you and Pertos and few others will throw out insults just because we do not share the same view .

There is far far bigger issues in life as you well know looking after a family member then some pixels in a game but you seem to be heated and hate me and others over a view about it .

You right i am going to defend my right to buy with gold i am mount collector and it gives me something to strive for ingame .

I am not good at PVP and i do not do pet battles ,i am an okay raider but mounts are my thing and aslong as i can use in game currency i do not deserve to be called names or mocked for it .

You mock and belittle me every chance you get in every thread only bad word i have ever used to you is calling you a lair .

I have never insulted you or name called you but you treat me and others with utter distain when we do not agree with you .

Forums are about debating and speaking one’s mind in a respectful manner .

Hating a person over a game and over there views on a forum i find that sad really sad .

From where I’m looking it’s not defending microtransactions, it’s people telling someone “I can do whatever I want with my money” and he then angrily shouting “nooooooooooo”

Except that the topic isnt about how people spend their money, its about how people justify store in full priced games.

Except that OP has several times said that “the way people spend their money bothers me and affects me”.

Well duh. Because these people indirectly affect the game for me aswell and gives Blizzard more reason to push down onto microtransactions within a full priced game.

Well it is partially true, because thats what cause an increase to microtransactions, which affect everyone. If those people put money down the drain, then they can do what they like, as it dont affect others negatively. You can spend your money any way you like, but your spending can have negative impact.

Not sure if it even needs a “justification”. WoW itself is just pixels and a video game. We all waste time on it cause it is what it is. A time-sink. So the question. Why waste money on some random pixels which does nothing but waste your time? Cause… “I want to?”

Besides jealousy. it doesn’t affect anyone else. Buying a store mount doesn’t give you a “50% health and dmg bonus”, VIP treatment to m+, arena invites and etc…

Not really, unless you take great pride in mounts? Which I’m guessing you’re not doing looking at your mount collection. Seeing as the store is 90% mounts it would only bother you if you actually cared about mounts. Otherwise it won’t affect you.

But the issue is that negatively is subjective. What person A finds negative person B might not. Which means that the negative impact is also subjective depending on who you ask.

i agree if someone tells me to be quiet its their money fine, you do you.

Most of the time lack of self control, FOMO and similar tactics.

There are things where you cant have subjective opinion whether its positive for some and negative for others. For example making expansions free would be beneficial to all players, i dont really see anyone being upset they get it for free.

Of course you could find people who would be able to find that negative. There’s a substantial money gain from expansion sales which means a lot less money for development (could be argued).

But either way you still see my argument about the shop, which can be seen as both positive and negative depending on who you ask so just saying “it affects us all negatively” is a lie.

Depends if there are “strings” attached to this “free expansion”. Its the 21st century and people should be aware that nothing is “really totally no strings attached free”.
Also being aware that Blizz is NOT a charity organization. They sell a product. They won’t give 2 bits on how “happeh or cranky” I am. As long as I dish out the $$$, nothing else matters.
Knowing this fact. The question would rise…whats their take. What do they gain by giving a free expansion. What will be the sources to compensate for the lack of $$$ from the new expansion purchases.

For sure some could find negatives in literally anything, but at that point they can be safely ignored. While the money gain would be good if it was used for development, everyone knows it just all goes straight into executives pockets.

Notice i never said “affects us all”, i said “affects others” as in those who dont like microtransactions in full priced games.

Once again, for the classic “not charity organisation” point. There is a difference between making lot of money and making LOT of money. Most of it goes to billionaire executives anyway, money never to be seen again.

It would bring way more subs to be honest and some good boy points. But higher ups surely have everything mathed out for maximum profit.
