Yes slice and dice really wrecked outlaw :(… but aside from that…
rogue’s a bit gear dependent.
It’s also really bad early on, since you’re one of the few classes without a proper AOE source of damage for quite a while. But it gets better.
My favorite rogue spec is feral indeed
Its a fun class.
When I play my DH in Bgs guarding flags I always lol when using a certain ability to see them. If they start running in the opposite direction they are paying attention but some dont…
I felt that my rogue’s Thorghast success rate had extremely high variance, because they have tons of useless anima powers. Often I’d make it to the layer 8 floor 6 boss without much of an issue, but then the boss would be impossible to kill.
But this was several months ago, when floor 8 was quite new. I know a lot of stuff in Thorghast got nerfed, so maybe it’s not so bad for rogues anymore.
I admit I sometimes stealth across a map on autorun while browsing interwebs…
Which has more issues than actual rogue
Who cares bro, it’s heart business
With difficulty.
If you wanna solo go sub rogue and remember to use your toolkit wisely. Burst and kill before getting hit is kinda your tactic. CC that which you are not killing and use stuns/interrupts frequently, this will also teach you how to play rogue in mythic+. Use evasion and CoS to avoid big damaging abilities. If it gets hairy when soloing a big elite you may want to Blind>crimson vial and wait for CDs to come back.
Lastly, seeing as especially outlaw is a bit of a faceroll specc you may wanna consider lvling as sub so you get the practice in early, whereas the other 2 speccs are a bit easier to pick up.
I have a lot of /played on my rogue, ever since I discovered the rogue class in late BFA I haven’t looked back.
Best open world resource farming class, gud mobility I mean 100% movement speed on 1 min CD, couple that being venthyr u get door of shadows can get on top of anything, you’re vampire Batman incarnate.
Too bad doing m+ is still toxic and being gate kept cause of a timer and people always in a rush, even tho most nerds spend more time in this game than they say they do.
Why would I want to play a non-stealth class with war mode on? Groupies cant even see me, they cant sack me, I stroll right past them and sap them
Yep I play as sub. Makes me want to pull my hair out when I accidently pull 4 mobs.
Haha! Maybe should watch that to sleep an hour longer too
Exactly, rogues DO feel the weakest out of all my alts just because I personally dont do a lot of dmg on it and they do not have a lot of self sustain. My monk is a dps god compared to my rogue, ngl.
Feels the same to me!
rogues have always been bad at solo content. Leveled all classes since MoP and the only two classes that stand out in terms of how bad they are were: rogues and priests.
On these two classes it was better to avoid critters as they could accidentally kill you.
I always level my priest in holy
Rogues are the slowest class to level so it’s not entirely your fault, you have to use stealth and stuns as an advantage.
Rogues are like diesel engines, no burst damage but when the rotation start to run they are like Sonic.
then again, with leather armor and super bad self healing, this class has major problems in soloing quest bosses and rare mobs compared to all other classes.
Only when you starting to get higher gear levels this class is starting to get playable and having fun at the same time. Before that its a huge struggle and almost want you to leave the game
You need to have high patience for this class, since with the extreme low gear drops (actually NO DROPS at all in 8 weeks) its hard to stick with this class.
And i really believe Blizz have no clue themself how to improve this class to make it a bit more fun. At least we need way better self healing.
Crimson vial is just a huge joke. And we need a different type of poison. Poison to slow movement speed? what good does that do if your are melee. ??? I am not running away form a fight.
Anyway, if your patient with this class you can have real good fun.
