Indeed, in mythic+ I think that Assassin might be the more complex specc, followed by sub and then outlaw. However, for Single target sub is arguably the more complex specc.
Yes, because the honorable paladins are so much more brave cough bubble immunity cough bubble hearthstone cough coward cough
Jokes aside though, it is kinda true. The best rogue is a patient, calculative and sneaky rogue
Patient? Nope not for me I’m one of those ppl who plays Assassins Creed charging into camps Spartan kicking ppl in the face as I go
Haha then maybe fury warrior is your type of specc xD
I do quite enjoy that one!
Just what I was thinking lol, here I was spaming mutilaters and ruptures
I only just come back and assassination isnt too bad, can still multi dot and kite until groups are dead. They wont be reaching you with crippling poison on lol, as much as find it boring, I use leaching poison for questing and crimson tempest for a bit more aoe and dot
Are you running cheat death? If yes, dont. Not while questing. Sub rogues have pretty much constant selfheal with the %healinstealth/sd. Further enhanced by crimson vial and evasion/cloak. However you dont want to pull too much at once as Sub or Assa due to no proper AoE. This is gone the moment Sub receives their AoE Find Weakness as you can apply it with Symbols+Shuriken since Symbols causes Shuriken to crit on everyone and as such triggers Find Weakness and its shadow damage component from Black Powder.
Torghast is fine. Gear carries. Twisting i aint commenting since i didnt feel bothered to touch it after getting the mount from the beastwarren outside of its pet.
Assa also received a lot of buffs recently. Including the Slice and Dice change which allows you to literally ignore it once applied. And also a buff if you were Necro (scales with Mastery etc now) or Venthyr.
Easy put on some nine inch nails , papa roach , grab some leather gear , couple of daggers
Click on bg queue
That’s how i play a rogue. The music is mandatory it increases base dmg
Pick weak/low geared players in bgs and oneshot them
It’s all about control.
You don’t take damage if they can’t hit you.
Okay, yeah, nah, if you can’t do Torghast as a rogue you’re really doing it wrong or getting bad RNG.
I mean, level 8 twisting corridors is doable at ilevel 200 and no consumables. Not easy (You really need to get above 120k health to avoid RNG oneshots), but very doable
From what I understand your covenant ability and anima power may be either OP or trash dependening on your covenant. I remember the kyrian covenant ability with the right powers was utterly broken
rogues have way too many active abilities for me to enjoy, even with my mmo mouse i cant bind all their spells.
Honestly why im enjoying playing my paladin less atm, we have like 3-4 active ability talents, my boomer reflexes arent great with tons of spells to push
Ugh. I feel the same way about learning this feral druid. So many abilities and so many tricks that I just don’t fully utilize yet.
Amazes me how some people are so good at the spec.
I think this is part of the appeal of classic is that everything is a lot simpler and more community focused, dont get me wrong i enjoy retail but sometimes it feels like im fighting to understand my class especially with ability bloat
Make sure oyu’re geared on the rogue, then play it its such a dull pruned class that without gear or something which is insanely good / oppressive the class might as well be not worth taking / leveling / playing
The Night Fae one’s pretty good if you get the one that spreads it to three nearby targets- Potentially usable on every medium-large pull and a 50% health buff + a good chunk of mastery if you have Niya as your Soulbind…
Though yeah, god, Kyrian + “20” cp finisher + the 400% shadowstep buff + a few +25% damage items sounds utterly brutal! And it actually works well on the bosses!
I mean yeah it worked don’t get me wrong, but speaking from experience. Alot of the powers you actively can work against you from achieving the empowered finisher, personally found that I had to go out of my way to not choose certain powers to prevent randomly over-generating points to use it.
Where as with night fae if sepsis finishes you get your dps cds back, which means figuratively speaking you can have 2 uses of vendetta, blades, adrenaline rush in one fight if it lasts that long.
Just finished getting my Outlaw rogue (switched spec from something else at 50) to 60.
Was iLvl 75 or something at 50, and it was a bit of a struggle until I could upgrade to 129 gears at 55/56. Dungeons don’t drop enough to gear up as you level up…
Not really a fan of the class but learnt how to play it- which involves a lot of running away if you accidentially pull a couple mobs on top of the couple you were killing.
Use of cc and other abilities is a must- once you learn to use them rather than the more traditional melee ‘smash them in face until they die’ approach it becomes a lot smoother.
And of course stealthing through packs of mobs with your team in dungeons is always fun.
Now he’s 60 he can go back in his box, still not really a fan of the class.
