How do people use Raider IO, what "counts"?

So season3 has been here for a few weeks now, and even though I don’t have too much time these days, I try to do a few runs each week-end, building up my score. For now, I am trying a level 5-7 run in each dungeon just to build up score and maybe get invited for higher key runs.

My question though… how does the raider IO addon actually work, what do people look at? For example, this season I was playing as healer exclusively. Let’s say I try to queue as DPS, in that case, does the addon show my healer score (and if you, do people even care), or does it just show a zero? In the latter case, do I need to build up my DPS score separately from level 2-4? and so on?

Also, is there any indication on previous seasons, or does that not matter anymore at all? Because that would put people who don’t have all day to play near a season’s beginning at a serious disadvantage.

It depends. Each party leader has their own “methodology” in inspecting people in r io. I can name I personaly believe would be the 3 most “popular methods”.

1st. Just checks your “general rio number” and nothing else. So they see:
John r io 1054 signed up. Nice 1k ranking! LETS TAKE HIM! The invites are sent almost instantly.

2nd. Checks the in-game raider io more in detail.
John rio 1054. Hmm but its a tank experience? His dps experience is only 230. But he has also done 1.5k in S2 and has 10+ timed m+ runs already. Ok. I think he is good enough. Lets invite him.

3rd. Copies your name and checks the website in detail. How many runs? How many timed ones. How many runs in the dungeon you are signing up? John is signing up for a WM +10, website shows that he has only done 1 WM and 3 chested it? Curious…checks the run itself in detail. 4 guys were with 2.5k r. io and him being 600? Aight. He is boosted. Declined!

So to answer your question. What matters what doesnt. Well it depends on each party leader’s criteria. Some will just take a look at 1 number and if its >= their minimum requirement. You are IN! Others will do a “full background check”

The only thing I have noticed from personal experience that tanks/healers are usually subject to the “light inspection”. R io 1200? YOU ARE IN! While dps are the ones who gets the scenario 3 inspection most often.

a BIG P.S: Also bear in mind that the level of the key can play an important factor.
Lower-mid tier level keys(<10+ and 10-11s+) party leaders will more likely to just do the 1st or 2nd scenario. While higher level keys (15+) party leaders will make a full background check on everybody to make sure that the group is PURFECT.

The addon displays your highest combined score no matter the role, so if you did 5 +5 dungeons as a healer and 5 +5s as a dps the addon will show all your total 500+ score with two icons in front of it, a cross and a sword indicating you have played both roles, and the role that you have the highest own score will be highlighted. So to answer your question in short - rio displays your total combined score for all roles you played, you dont need to “build up” all your roles separately (but players will be able to see which roles you have the highest score on though), highlights the role you have the most score with. Of course players can go on the website and check your char in detail for individual role scores if they wanted to.

Yes it does, the addon shows your highest total score from current and previous season. If previous is higher - addon will show both previous highest and current highest. If current is highest - addon will show current only.

About how people use the addon Lynlia explained it very well above.

My advice is to not worry about too much, just go from low keys and gradually build it up. But playing with guild/friends/community is the best possible approach you can take for M+.

Thanks for the detailed answers. Might go for a few runs at DPS in this case, for the sake of variety and practice for that, too.

Well when friends and i are looking for DPS for a dungeon ,we look at what score he has, how many dungeons he cleared, whats the highest level of key we are doing that he completed.
