I was hyped coming back to tbc but those 20+ minute queue times completely killed my hype and desire to play.
People ingame told me that AV queue times last week were up to over an hour.
at classic launch i didnt mind sitting 6 hours in queue for a popular server because i knew its gonna be better in a couple of days or weeks but this? This is an issue that probably existed ever since BG’s started and i dont think it will ever get better.
Why do people just accept this instead of trying to make the game more balanced?
By the amount of changes we already had to true vanilla experience, blizzard might aswell add faction vs faction BG’s. its already like that in arena. its just not enjoyable for anyone to wait 20+ minutes for a 15 minute BG and that EVERY SINGLE TIME, doesnt matter if its 4 AM or primetime.
How do other horde players deal with this? Why are you not going alliance?

I personally play on 48/52 ratio server and it´s the same. I guess just not enough people are interested in PVP BG when you gotta farm 200+ hours for 1 item.

as far as i understand it doesnt really matter what server you are on since BG’s are cross realm.
Maybe there is different server pools and your is balanced? (maybe anyone can confirm this? )
Does anyone have a realmpool list with alle the servers?
Out of curiousity what server do you play on?
Edit: oh i think i misunderstood your post, its the same as in same queue times which makes sense yes
also i dont think its an issue with not enough people are interested because alliance has 1-2 minute queue times max. its just that horde has so many more players

Exactly, no matter what, still 20+ minutes que.
When honor gained was high, was que like 9-10 minutes and that was even midnight european servers.
You are welcome to roll alliance. We have instant queues for all BG’s. But you lose 99% of all matches and get almost no honor. Game is really balanced!!

As someone who played alliance all my life and tried horde this time, how the f do you manage? This ruins it completely. Paying for sitting in queue 50% of ones time.
is it really THAT bad as a solo queue alliance player? please be honest.
yesterday i played again for the first time waited 25 minutes in queue for AB and then lost, one of our healers was afk in stealth pretty much the whole game, only engaging when he got the afk debuff. ( this is horde btw)
otherwise you can still find a bunch of well geared people and enjoy insta queues with a much higher winrate or not?
Back in the days, before they made BG queues into how they are now on Retail, it wasn’t unusual as a Horde (which i played then) to have 40 minutes+ queues.
I queued up as the first thing when I logged on, and went about doing w/e stuff while waiting.
20 min is long, but it is still way better than it actually was.
Your winrate is about 35% i would say
I’m not joking. I have played all day, only 1 win. Most of matches we get steam rolled. I have gotten 2500 honor after about 5 hours of played.
The problem with the imbalanced pvp queues is because horde racial abilities are overpowered in pvp. This has led to everyone who likes to pvp are playing horde. The only fix is a massive nerf to horde racials.

allow horde vs horde in BG or let horde queue as alliance .
this wont fix the heavily horde favoured racials but at least horde can play bg’s with reasonable queue times.
Then there would be literally 0 reasons left to play alliance. The PVE servers are already 75-90% populated by the alliance. The game is broken on so many levels because of the imbalanced racial abilities…

if the only reason to play alliance is that you dont have to site in queue 20-30 minutes for every 15 minute BG thats already a horrible reason .
and i doubt this is the main reason why those that still play alliance stay there. for some sure.
anyway i still dont think that horde players should be punished for bad game design decisions.
give horde faster queues and give alliance 50% bonus honor. idk… just make it so people can actually play rather than sit in queue half their gametime.
I usually go to Maraudon or some high level zone and grief levelers between queues.

Why are You not going Alliance?
Huh?
because it takes quite a lot of time and investment to start from scratch
and also ive played alliance for like 4 expansions and wanted something different so went horde with the start of classic.
See? You just anwered your own question.
If You won’t roll Alliance then why You expect other Horde players to do so?

There were AV queues of 1 hour plus a couple of months aftet initial classic launch. The queues now are brilliant in comparison.

20 minutes is nothing compared to what AV queue used to be when I was ranking. Could be 2-4 hours of AV queue to get into 1 that was maybe over.
With 20 minutes you have time to travel to Winterspring for example, and farm some gold between BGs.
Horde win more BGs in general, so I don’t really see the problem with having longer queues atm.
