Hello fellow demon hunters!
I have a really bad issue with playing a demon hunter that I can’t seem to resolve. Can you guys help me?
So recently I made a demon hunter because havoc seems to be blizzard’s favorite spec and outperforms every other melee in pretty much every scenario by a large margin.
It was not long before I realized all you had to do is mash 3 buttons whenever they come off cooldown with zero depth attached to them and that’s basically your entire rotation. As you might have guessed this felt very boring to me considering most specs have 3 to 4 times the amount of buttons they have in their rotation and actually require careful execution.
I wonder how do my fellow demon hunters deal with this fact. I have tried watching a movie while doing the dishes, but I still seem to get bored.
Do you have any tips?

I will try going and robbing a bank tomorrow. I hope I don’t end up on top of the DPS meter again and fall asleep in the process.

So basically every WoW class since 2004? The game isn’t rocket science.

Last person that was this overprotective of his class rerolled to the next best class after it got nerfed 
And no, DH is unironically the only class that plays like that currently aside from a few hunter specializations. In fact you have classes pulling 12 button+ rotations that can’t even come close to DH numbers.
Its how the game is. BM does more dps than warlock, can do attacks while moving and do the mechanics. Actually it is the top of the dps list in S+ tier with fire mage. Meanwhile, I am pulling 1 000 000 buttons as afflixion. That’s the game though, it will always be like that.
Dont bother, tried to explain that to him and his lock best friend but they all end up trash talking you at the end.
In fact the lock said 3 keys but it need to be mastered lol
A guy from my main guild topped of dps meters by making a /cast macro listing all dh damaging abilities in a priority and proceeded to mash that. Ended up top on damage metters. lol

My guilds DH that are amazing dudes and great players if you ask them DH is hard to play they will probably laugh at you for 15 mins and then ignore you as… You know xD

Yes, playing it because its needed is way different from you saying its a 2 key class but people need to master it…
I play a 2 key healer, its needed. Im not calling it PRO or that it has a big depth in rotation to spam prayer of healing… You know

Don’t care. You know, I play it because it is cool and I have fun with it. For me, its just a game. That’s the difference between me and 80% of the wow players. I do not care for what others will say, will complain, or what so ever. Its a class like any other. AI in a game, a mediocre one though and kind of dying.

Well, playing actual game content such as m+ and mythic raiding I can say DH is the only class I like to play in WoW.
I can also confirm that I use about 15 buttons overall in m+ and 10 buttons overall in raiding.
Have you tried to actually play the game instead of making the class for the sole purpose of complaining about it on it’s class forums?

Well, you have more experience in this game than me. Always will be simple class that destroys others: in legion everybody cried for frost DK (I do not know why, never played it then), now is DH. Tomorrow will be fury…
As I told you in the other topic: as DH but it applies for other melees as well, I can maintain 40- 50k dps without pressing one button on dummy. I do not need buttons only 2 lash + TD 3. It will proc enough.
Can you please post a video of it? I believe you mentioned on 1 dummy, as you said dummy instead of dummies.
