You obviously haven’t played it yet.
But you may have seen articles about it, or videos from YouTubers such as Supatease or Bellular - who uses the world “genuinely” all the time without ever pronouncing it correctly for some reason.
From what’s been shown so far, how do you feel about the changes to your main specializations?
It’s fine. It didn’t change too much.
Speaking about BM Hunter here, of course.
I genuinely think they only got rid the ability that requires Ironfur spamming.
There is a regular here who has frequently hated on that over the years, so I’m glad for them and all my fellow Guardians.
Class changes doesn’t matter if you can play ret with one button rotation
.
Class changes won’t fix healer shuffle mmr or make it enjoyable to heal - so one keeps playing ret with the one button rotation
.
Indeed.
Removing interrupts from healers who already lack agency in shuffle is going to make things worse.
I watch him, but when i hear him talking about tanks (section where i know my stuff), I often just shake my head
His knowledge is lacking on a few points tbh
I dont see brewmaster on a good spot atm, the apex talent is close to a must pick, but its not strong in comparison to other tanks. Brewmaster will lose 2 def cds and gets in compensation nothing. The amp on celestial brew/infusion is gone (more shilding, if you purify your stagger). Master of Harmony hero talent is weak, because you get too many stacks of harmony surge and you have to spam tiger palm to use them, which led you energy starved pretty quickly.
plus my stagger wa is gone have to use the crappy version from blizz
Is it “his” knowledge?
Considering he always covers every single spec in the game, as well as every Blizzard-related topic, I just assumed he had a team of writers or something.
Probably not his own knowledge, but its his channel (or is a part the channel).
Often he quotes his friends/writer, which are playing the game and I have the feeling, that these player arent that into the game tbh OR are very casual (which is fine), but not good enough to talk on a channel with his influence.
Haven’t looked at a single thing they do with rogue
95% chance they made it even worse
also 100% chance there is no “Burst of Speed” ability
L Blizzard
I main Oracle Disc and have done some testing on the beta. So far, I like various talents affecting certain spells, such as Penance leaving a DoT on the target, I think that’s a nice touch. I also like having two stacks. The new option to root a target after Fear ends is also a nice touch.
The new ability “Plea” feels completely pointless to press. It applies Attonement and does absolutely no healing at all, but you’ll probably never need to use it with the amount of shields and Flash Heals you put out.
I don’t like how Shadowfiend/Mindbender is now tied into existing spells, and it feels rotationally awkward that Shadow Word: Death summons a Shadowfiend. You won’t get to make the most out of Inescapable Torment and Expiation.
Void Shield is cool, and it’s nice that Discipline got to keep the reflective shield. It made no sense that it was in the class tree previously.
Premonition being passive is kind of lame as well, I enjoyed cycling through four buffs and making use of their effects in different situations.
Overall, I think spec will be fine to play but I will miss many of the current integrations like shadow covenant and premonition. the pruning is too extreme IMO and will eventually be undone.
How do I feel my class in midnight?
Hopefully in a way that won’t get me arrested…
Shadow’s gone away from its roots and is now about Old Gods. Shadow and Void aren’t the same thing… Shadow is a ‘force’ while the Void is entities from the Shadow.
But it’ll make an otaku happy with all the tentacles, especially the big one.
That’s not new. But you’re right, I liked Shadow’s identity better back when it was a “psychic” specialization.
I also like the idea of an Old Gold themed spec actually, but it should have been its own thing.
Dunno. but i use just “simple” class… BM, destro and retri.
Frost Mage here, mostly playing solo world content.
I’ll probably have to either reroll to tank, or just focus on other things than playing high level delves/prey.
Frost Mage lost a lot in the control department: a chance for random root with every frost spell, additional 10% of slow with all snaring spells, root on Glacial Spike, ability to both extend the duration of Frost Nova and have two charges of it (now a choice node with one another), probably more that I don’t remember now.
This severely reduces my survivability. On top of that, our defensives got pruned.
On top of that, healing in delves now forces everyone into melee, and my cloth armour provides me with 10% physical damage reduction, compared to 35% on plate DPS and above 50% on my prot pally (that’s totally passive physical damage reduction, without any abilities).
It used to be hard for me to tackle delve bosses (which can’t be slowed or rooted) with current toolkit, I really can’t imagine doing that with the changes they’re implementing in midnight.
I like it. Did a few shuffles and The pace is alot different. But if you fall behind catching up is rough, it puts way more focus on trading cds.
For most of the classes I play I’m feeling neutral to positive.
One glaring exception is mage. Playing around with it on beta it just feels really bad. Arcane is ok, fire is slow and dull and frost is just tracking the freezing stacks which is painful to do without Weakauras.
Shadow feels in pretty dire straits after last week’s changes.
I like the holy pally changes honestly.
Rogues gonna have a field day in pvp as the new DH class will be all around.
