How do you handle elite mobs?

During leveling or at level 60 how do you handle elite mobs as a mage?

Mages has variety of skills to fight elites. First of all, keep elites in distance (blink, time warp, slows, roots, frostbolt). As Frost it should be easy, becouse you are master of CC. Leveling as Fire or Arcane can be more difficult, but those specs have also many skills to deal with elites. When I played Fire, I used blazing soul talent to become more tanky (but less mobile). I played Arcane the least, but you have slow ability without cooldown and without casting time which is helpfull. In Shadowlands, you can also use frostbolts in every mage spec to slow your enemies

Think op is refering to mobs you can’t cc. If so you have 2 options:

1. Burst them down before they kill you. (Don’t forget to use alter time and shield.)

2. Wait or ask for help.

Mirror images+alter time is usually enough to let us burst down most elites.

It depends on how powerful it is.

If its got like 400k hp or lower I’d just go Fire and burst it down.

Anything above that, either: -

• Make a group

or

• Get the crazy buffs from the Zereth Mortis Aealic consoles like 20% extra crit damage, 1% heal every second, 5% leech, etc and kill it easy, since they work anywhere in the Shadowlands.
