I have been stuck at 185% for ages now, doing research every day and the raids on mythic, plus world quests. How do I get moar? 
after you’re 80, your only source are the daily research tasks in dalran
each task gives you an item that adds 1%
the fastest way to 400 is to level up alts.
alts get 18 research tasks to do while leveling so that’s 18%
plus a flat 10% when you ding 80 that you get from a quest in Dalaran.

IF you do research tasks, then every task is +1 %. So you cannot be stuck…, don’t understand it.
Every alt brought to 80 is another +10 % from Epoch memento and +1 % for every research task you complete along the way to 80.
Sorry for the time waste problem was found to be 6’ and blonde.
The alts themselves get a quest too that speeds it all up from the dragon. If you do it all on your main you wont get anywhere near as high.
Completing story lines (campaigns) also gives you an XP buff, Can’t remember the percentage, but only once as the achievements are account wide
