So i have been stuck on the same item level for 2 days, ive completed quests, dailies, achievments and it stays the same item level, i dont understand how you increase it? Ive added around 100k of infinate power to the artifact and yet it doesnt go up. Not see any of those sands in ages, are they the only way to increase item level?
The rewards are based on your current ilvl. So you get to a point where the quest reward caches no longer provide upgrades and your main source is via ‘Mote of a Broken Time’, every 10 you can turn into an item.
The rewards from any Cache of Infinite Power are the same, they are based on your current item level. These are typically rewarded for your first random hc and normal dungeon of the day and any infinite research you complete.
The weapon upgrades from how much Infinite Power Artifactium Sand you put into it.
You can also run the raids and M+.

So ive just turned all my motes of broken time into epics and they were all item level 630, im item level 630 and my weapon is 633 i dont know what more i can do to increase it, ive already done World Boss, Normal dungeon, Heroic dungeon and quest campaigns today and none of those made any diffrence even after opening the cache of infinate power to get… yes another 630 piece of gear which ill vendor
That sounds like a bug. Have you tried unequipping and re-equipping your artifact weapon. I know it’s bonkers but sometimes silly things fix things.
I presume when you say vendor you mean ‘unravel sands’.
Wow that seemed to work, as soon as i unequipped/requipped it and turned in another 10 motes…boom got some sands and now the gear dropping has gone up 3 levels, maybe this was just random but ive not seen any sands in days
