I realise this sounds like a stupid question, but I assure you I’m quite serious. I’m no stranger to energy based classes such as Monk and Rogue, but I struggle with energy starvation far more on Feral. Predator helps A LOT, but I still find I have nothing to press if I’m fighting any more than a single mob, making things feel kinda bad.
I suppose my real question is, how do you tackle more than one enemy at a time and sustain long fights?
This is called pooling, in which you wait to have enough energy to use your desired ability. It is a normal thing for feral atm, though talents like Predator, and SotF are useful for energy regen. Same goes for Memory.
Having more crit also increases double combo points which in turn will reduce the abilities you have to use to get to 5 combo points.
Primal Wrath is the go to talent for Mythic plus / long aoe fights. Dependent on how many targets you’re encountering, using downtime to apply rake to targets will be your best bet for higher dps. and then filling with Swipe and Thrash (If using Wild Fleshrending Trait)
Many thanks for the tips. I was actually wondering how sometimes I was getting double combo points. It was a nice surprise, but I had no idea how it happened. I tried more haste, even with the Troll racial but it didn’t seem to make much difference in terms of energy regeneration, so maybe crit to get those double CPs is where it’s at.
Even with the haste addition to speed up our bleed ticks, it is not a viable stat to stack.
If you need further guidance on the spec, i would recommend you take a look at the wowhead spec guide. It has a lot of useful information both on casual bracket, and higher experienced bracket.
Have a look at topics like stat priority, Talent builds, corruptions etc.
I wish you luck :^)
