How do you spend time in hub cities and which one is your favorite?

To me personally it is Boralus and Shattrath City and my Garrison if I want to play quietly and alone.

Dazar’alor to me is a mess and it was hell to navigate through it when BfA was live. Oribos was fine but could be better with dividing sections of vendors / professions, etc.

I still cannot decide about Valdrakken. The city is beautiful and vast and you can dragonride from one place to another, but I am mostly annoyed by constant lags, my PC can’t stand it properly.

Hub cities are still the most alive place in zones and places to just chill and relax while doing plenty of activities. I personally just try different mogs or /emote to other players and just soaking the atmosphere with music, or searching through AH or waiting for groups, etc.

Not answering your question 1:1, which I hope you forgive me for!

But I enjoy spending time in zones that I find either relaxing or “scenic”. I played till TBC and then stopped only to come back in Legion… So for me zones like STV or Duskwood etc. brings back some memories of me cluelessly running around as a kid just killing boars and tigers

What I really would enjoy, is Blizzard “adapting” a bit more for PVE. What I enjoy when I play PVP, is that I can be in cool zones, super far away from everything and everyone and I can still que, and when I’m done, I am back to that place again. This makes it possible for me to just enjoy the zones. However, when I do PVE I feel kind of “stuck” to Valdrakken og somewhere close, so I can get to the dungeon the fastest way… So its more out of convenience than enjoyment that I spend time in Valdrakken.

I know they made portals that you can obtain from +20’s, but sometimes I am on an alt, which doesn’t have them, and then theres the “hassle” of having to go back from wherever your HS is to the place you enjoy
So maybe just make it so the UI next to markers / readycheck button also has a “TP to dungeon” or leader can press his key and it promts a “Enter dungeon” like “Enter Arena” button

Also, the empty farm on Hillsbrad I believe it is, I find super cool!

The moment I saw Boralus I fell in love with it. I’ve been in many wow cities, both alliance and horde, but none of them come even close to Boralus. It’s both the aesthetic, and atmosphere. To me Boralus feels like a perfect blend of real city (how I imagine an actual medieval port city to look) and fantasy.

Only reason I’d be in Valdrakken would be for the weekly quests and using it as a hub to portal about. I rarely sit in cities… got my AH mount and portable mailboxes to do stuff on the fly… typically checking up for any mogs, pets or toys I’m missing to add to my collection within a set budget – often see someone throwing up a mog that’d go for 20k or so for 10-500g. :stuck_out_tongue:

Boralus is my favourite city in wow. The music there i just love. I went there not too long ago and just sat at the inn (at the table) and listened to the music. Then i headed to the bar 2 houses down and ordered a drink, drank it and logged out just like i used to do every night in BFA.

These days i dont play much, i just log in for planned m+, do my keys and log off. I dont like Valdrakken all that much, its ok, but not a place i just sit around and enjoy the music a bit before logging out.

Apologies I am SO boring/predictable :flushed:

I hang out in whatever the main area is for the current expansion and pop back to Org/SW - when I say hangout it’s really picking up quests, popping to the bank/AH and then either heading off somewhere or logging on to another alt that will do the same or log off - humble apologies.

I guess playing ever since it started, it’s nice to see the current expansion to see how they have evolved and if the NPCs will have any decent dialogue - looking forward to in the future if they will have AI incorporated in some NPCs to get some dialogue going - or will that be bad

Thunder Bluff

Chill nomadic cow people, cool elevated position, barely any people, banging music

Good news, I believe they stated that they are making all of these account wide in next expansion

Thats very nice if true!
At least that offers more flexibility!

Wish they would also make it so, when the dungeon is over, and you leave the group instead of the GY you are ported back to where you ported in from (Given you have the portal). So essentially like the Vulpera racial camp thing

same here,
it’s my to go to city for spending time browsing the AH

My Horde in my faveroute zone.

I only use citys if i need portal, ah or trading post.

Waits for someone from an RP realm to say a location, which isn’t Gold Shire and instantly know they’re lying

When I play my healer, I usually just stand around in Valdrakken. Go to the AH or just… stand around.

When I play my DPS I actually never AFK in cities. I am out and about doing stuff till my queue pops.

I don’t ‘spend time’ in hub cities. I just loiter in Valdrakken between keys.

I usually log out in the hub so that’s usually where I start. Then I set off to go about whatever I’ve decided to do.

I loved Dalaran with it’s nice compact feel with everything on hand. I do like Valdrakken, it feels like a bigger place than say Oribos or Dala. Got that wow city feel to it. I prefer hubs where both factions are present.

Dalaran baby, any day of the week

Elwynn Forest.

^ My sentiments exactly.
