How do you use soothing mist animation while monk artifact on your shoulder?

so while i was doing battleground i saw someone having the monk using artifact fu zan on his right shoulder and his left hand channeling soothing mist healing

then i log in to my character while having the artifact but when i use soothing mist the monk artifact instead on my back and not my shoulder ??? how that even possible ?

he just had it unsheathed, same goes e.g. for WW and fist of fury , u gonna use it with staff on shoulder
