How does crafting the new vessels cost?

I was having a discussion, but wow just gives me [Object Object] msg whenever i try to type, so making a new one!

How do you get rank 5/6 of vessels? i heard 45 renown, but in the ptr im 50 renown and cant see it … but what is the cost of ranks 5/6, do you need soul cinders?

And for that matter, how does it work? you use this https://www.wowhead.com/item=185960/vestige-of-origins on a rank 4 and it turns into a rank 6 or does it give you the abillity to make rank 6? im confused

Let’s use Shadowghast Armguards as an example.

1. The Blacksmith-crafted vessel/base item Shadowghast Armguards rank 4 costs in materials:

• 50 Shadowghast Ingot
• 20 Enchanted Elethium Bars
• 50 Luminous Flux
• 20 Orbereal Shards

2. In order to create a legendary vessel “rank 6”, the crafter needs to insert a Vestige of Origin as an Optional Reagent in the crafting window.

3. The vessel crafter must have reached renown 44 and at the end of the chapter 4 of the Kothia campaign the crafter get a token from the Primus that teaches how to craft Vestige of Origin.

4. The Vestige of Origins is a reagent that binds upon picked meaning only the respective vessel crafters can craft this optional reagent for their legendary vessels. A Blacksmith-crafted Vestige of Origin requires the following mats:

• 40 Laestrite Ores
• 15 Shadowghast Ingots
• 40 Korthide Crystals

5. In total a Shadowghast Armguard “rank 6” will cost:

• 65 Shadowghast Ingot
• 20 Enchanted Elethium Bars
• 50 Luminous Flux
• 20 Orbereal Shards
• 40 Laestrite Ores
• 40 Korthide Crystals
  How much this is in gold depends on your server economy.

Yes, but only for the runecarver part of the legendary crafting where you create a legendary gear out of a vessel, a memory, and two missives, and only for crafting or upgrading to rank 5/6.

Yes, but the “you” in this context is the BS/LW/Tailor/JC that crafts the base item/vessel.

Explaining and understanding how the Legendary crafting works is funny as the whole thing involves two crafting procedures - one for crafting the vessel and one for crafting the complete legendary with the Runecarver.

With that in mind, this rumour you heard is strictly correct - but only for the BS/LW/Tail/JC that crafts the legendaries for themselves. They need cystals for the base item, and cinders for the Runecarver.
