How does deleveling work?

I’ve heard about some kind of deleveling feature introduced in retail. I’d like to learn more about how it works.

So basically I want to reach level cap (120 as of now) and then delevel to level 60 and enjoy old locations (which are supposed to scale to up to level 60) without one-shoting everything. I’m not particularly interested in group leveling, I want to level alone completing quests that I did not complete yet and getting corresponding achievements.

Is it possible with current implementation?

Use second account, trial one will work for 1-60 level locations.

Should that second character run along with me? Should he stay online? Can my friend invite me to party with his low level alt and then go offline?

It should stay online, but you do not need to be in the same zone.

This is how Party Sync currently works

I haven’t experimented with the new system myself but I would presume you both have to be online. The person you are syncing to and your max char.
