I’ve done god knows how many quest lines, I’m kinda done with it. I wanna do dungeons and some old content but it’s impossible I see. I regret giving retail a chance after 7 years, we cannot refund but we can quit, maybe in 7 more years they finally have a competent dev team.
yes and none have been satisfactory. all I read is, retail wow is broken beyond even my wildest dreams and you’re just stuck or suck it up and do more cringe quest story lines or grind out awful content like delves.
Funny thing is on my boosted char I can do herioc, guess that is why, but I want to play another char now cause none of the classes feel fun, warlock felt / sounded the best so far but it’s ivlv 590 or so, idk low. The ingame store has exploded and become gross since last time i played as well, and the premium boosts explains why I am stuck now.
Well that is your choise to make, but you are only limiting yourself by not doing so.
There are other, more convoluted ways, but this would take a couple of hours at most, to get you set.
Ye, the game is broken, I’ll just quit and see in 7 years again where it’s at. The whole game is dead anyway, I’ve seen 10 people max and interacted with nobody. Theatre is dead.
It’s impressive how something as easy and simple and gearing up via dungeons van be broken. Absolutely incompetent wow dev team.
I guess the threat is solved: YOU CAN’T retail developers outdid themselves and broke the game even further. I regret listening to wow cope tubers like Belullar. Absolute clowns.
With that mindet, you only set yourself up for disappointment. I dont know what your history with wow is, but 7 years is a long time, and things change. If you want a game that stays the same, i suggest classic.
My history is; started TBC; great, Wrath; great, Cata; first issues but decent, Mop; boring but fun classes, WOD; the death of retail wow. I never played WOD but got back in Legion cause a friend said it was good again. so Legion; great but at the end severe rot with level and ilvl scaling / world scaling. BFA; meh, fun story / world but more modern rot like aoe cap and ilvl scaling. SL refunded. DF never bought. TWW never bought. I bought midnight, which for now is not live.
Shadow lands did leave a bad taste in my and my friend’s mouths. Classic came somewhere along the way and was great, it showed the older game is superior in every way BUT endgame content. But then ofc blizzard ruined classic with TBC classic boosts and pay2win tokens later. Making the paid Blizz experience worse than other offerings; bots RMT and other bs.
I just got baited by the wow cope youtubers, but I should’ve known, Asmongold and other most popular streamers have long left. Whatever is left now, bellular etc is are just cope tubers. I took the bait and bought midnight as I always wanted housing since TBC. But I fear for the reality. The world is already completely dead, devoid of any life or players in high pop realm, housing will add to that ofc.
Its not broken. And you just meet 10 people because you joined mid expansion. What do you expect? Its the same as it was 7 years ago. Heck, it was the same in Vanilla!
Next time dont join mid expansion. Buy Midnight and start playing 1 or 2 months before release. Or wait for 7th or October with Legion Remix.
No you’re right. Doing normal dungeons and then being locked out of the next difficulty is totally not broken. It’s in perfect line with retail wow game design and one of many reasons why it’s dead.
great advice; don’t buy our dying game, jus wait till the one time you can. No midnight releases in summer. I have a life during spring and summer and touch no computer around then. Besides TWW is such a poor experience that I won’t even bother anyway.
I will keep my eye out for a Classic+ that’s really the only future of wow.
Oke but I CAN’T EVEN DO IT. I can’t progress past normal dungeons lmao. Or I have to do awful content, great. I thought delves were optional and the “work” model was gone. But no. It matters not. I just regret listening to the last 2 wow youtubers and buying into their heavy duty copium that retail wow is good that they been saying since DF. It’s not true at all. We need Classic+ and ideally a Wow2 made by different developers, you can fire any and all retail developers. Designers / level makers can stay. Ion needs to go as well.
For it seemed great, I no longer want to deal with M+ after BFA. I have a different IRL live now and can’t alway commit to 30 minutes of looking for players to start playing lol. Heroics was the nice step up but no. After normals, you’re done. Alright whatever.
It is not broken, its intentional. Heroic dungeons scale up for each season.
The game is more generous than it has ever been in terms of gearing, and throughout this thread people have presented you with the various ways to obtain gear. You have decided to lock in on heroic dungeons, and dismiss any other means, that does not mean the game is broken, it means you are insusceptible to change.
It’s true no? The game still doesn’t tell me if it’s finished. Valdrakken portal work on one char but not another.
& Why; I / we have game time? That’s why. I/we bought a product and am trying to consume it. We’re hoping to find anything fun in the time we have left. It’s not deeper than that. After that we’re gone, perhaps in another 7 years say 2032 we’ll have a look. Thank god my life changed
It is intentional that after you do normal difficulty you cannot go higher. It’s like delves after doing tier 4 say no, you cannot continue, you must pvp now. Whatever man, you like it, they make retail wow for you and the last fans like you. Clearly not for the 90% that left.
In Delves, you go from tier 1 > 2 > 3 … 8. How would it makes sense if at say tier 3 or 4 you suddenly can’t go to tier 5 unless you do pvp for a while. Or is it already like that? I wouldn’t know, I didn’t make it past 3 runs. Boring content imo, but not all content is made for me. You know what is / was made for me? Dungeons specifically M+. So naturally, I was doing heroics after normals as I haven’t played the game is over half a decade. Going straight to Mythic seems a bit steep from my current perspective. I’m sure that’s not for current players.
I have to go do tier 4 first. I quit after tier 3. BUT IF I WANTED, I could. I could just do tier 4 delve of my liking and then 5 and 6 and so on. I cannot do that with dungeons. Cause I’ve done normals and am stuck. Not on this char, idk tbh, I found frost mage weak so rerolled, everything was weak expect warlock.
So just like with questing earlier, you are choosing not to do something, then complain about it? You say you played since TBC, then you should know that working your way up is part of the game. There are more short cuts than ever before, you just refuse to take them.
