With the limited time we have left, my friends and i wanted to do some heroic dungeons, but we can’t, our gear from normal dungeons is not good enough to queue for heroic dungeons lol.
So we’re stuck on our level 80’s with gearing. It has always been normal > heroic > mythic. And also heroic require ilvl 650 but gives 665, that is a waste of my time.
So what is the gearing progress now? Level > dungeons normal > ???
Don’t come with delves or world quests, delves are the most boring thing I’ve ever seen and don’t reward gear. WQs we did but they don’t reset daily anymore?
I’ve have no clue what half of this means? Please what is theatre? Siren Isle and buy whole s2 set??? where how? The game never explains anything so we don’t know. I dunno what the vault is as well. Delves drop no gear. We did 3 and nothing, they’re also awful so we won’t be doing them. LFR gives awful ilvl 593 gear not good enough for heroic dungeons (requires 650) and are a waste of time as a result. I can only do the first 2 raids, perhaps the new raids give better items but by the time I have the ilvl for them there are obsolete as well.
Theatre is an hourly event just outside Dornogal. You should have done some quests there actually.
You participate in the theatre and at the end get a piece of loot.
Siren Isle was season 2 content.
You unlock it with one of the NPCs inside Dornogal’s main building and then take the big gobblin Zeppelin behind the city. There are NPCs there that sell green gear you can use to up your ilvl.
And LFR gives way more than 593 if you run Omegaforge
O I see, the world quest threatre, it was not clear it dropped anything useful so I did not do it. I used a boost on another char and could skip the campaign or most of it as a result so I did not do it.
I cannot do omegaforge, I can only queue for 2 old raids which give 593.
But is it correct that gearing is broken? You cannot go from normal > heroic > mythic > mtyhic+ dungeons anymore?
They do.
The bountiful ones, you just need a restored treasure key to open the box with loot, for which you must do weekly activities.
Hi, this character is entirely geared through delves, lfr and the vault.
There is basically no point in normal and heroic existing anymore in the first place. Even normal mythic dungeons you can zoom right past with your gear. The only dungeons worth doing at any point are m+, really.
Gearing is absolutely broken if you try to catch up after missing seasons, had the same issue when I started in DF.
Try to do the weekly blue quests, run delves for Vault slots and world quests to get blues.
Unlock K’aresh, the current story content and do world quests there
First, do the K’aresh questline to get 650ish gear and the Reshii Wraps (a legendary cloak). Also do the big world quest in every TWW area where it is available. You can then upgrade all this gear easily with Valorstones, a currency obtained from quests and daily stuff.
All of this will give you ilvl ~670 gear and give you a few Coffer Keys.
When that is done, you guys could run some Bountiful Delves (they glow on the map and can be accessed from the portal room in K’aresh- You can do 4 a day and they refresh daily). Before running them, make sure that you have unlocked delves tier 8 or above (Tier 8+ awards 680 gear). If you haven’t unlocked it yet, run regular delves until you have tier 8 unlocked. At the end of these delves, you can open a chest with the Coffer Keys you unlocked previously.
When you’re around ilv680, you can comfortably jump into Mythic dungeons of the week, and aim to fill your Vault slots. Have fun!
Treasure keys are alao rewarded from weekly blue quests and visible in currencies tab.
You need those to open the treasure with loot in bountiful delves
Once you are lvl 80, 4 delves on the worldmap get marked as bountiful. Golden shiny portal. If you go in there and have a key with you, you can look up to 684 from the locked chest.
If you find a treasure bounty along the way, you can get up to 694 once per week
why? Have they no clue how big the shadowlands damage was and how many people like us left and may return at some point to try it again?. Everyone one of us will try to do heroic, and right now unless I miss understand I have to through extreme hoops just to get some basic gear.
oke but I don’t wanna do delves. it’s awful content. I wanna do dungeons, I liked mythic plus in legion and bfa, I quit at SL launch and refunded it, but by then it worked still the same. Is there no way to gear up from dungeons lol,
No thanks to delves. I’d rather watch paint dry than do more of that slob. Idk what nightfall event is, the other I am standing there waiting like a clown for 15 minutes to see what it is and does. If it gives 1 piece of gear it is grossly overrated. Lol so it really is true, you cannot progress normally anymore, they broke dungeons. Great. Why run normals at all then. Why run heriocs. Incompetent.
Easiest way to get the ball rolling as a fresh 80, is to do the K’aresh questline, This is the latest quest content in the game, and offers decent season appropriate ilvl starting gear for minimal effort. Once you got a full set of questing gear, and upgraded it with the crests and valor stones you get along the way, you should be set to start heroic dungeons and delves, and work your way up.
Tbh same, but I was never stuck, now i/ we are stuck so I figured heroics, fine enough for me as I don’t like tanking this xpac and won’t be doing m+ on it anyway, but I can’t do those as well. So idk, guess the game doesn’t want to be played.
