I’m considering finishing my Loremaster achievements, but before starting I’m wondering how does it actually work?
My issue is that during all the years I’ve been playing the game, the achievements have been split between Alliance and Horde. Do I compare the achievements together from both factions and then do what I’m missing or just do everything I’m missing on one faction?
Additionally, some of the Cataclysm Loremaster achievements appear “Greyed Out” in the meta-achievement yet they show as “Completed” when I mouse-over them? What does this mean?
Because of these issues it’s difficult to figure out how much I’m missing, it looks like a lot but what if it isn’t?
Basically complete the storylines of all zones. The faction does not matter except for kul tiras and zandalar, where you need to be that continent’s main faction.
Just do every quest you come across and you should be fine. Greyed out is a bug AFAIK, though the one I have is one which I earned on a deleted char…
But do I compare the achievements from Alliance & Horde and start doing what I’m missing? Or just stay on one faction?
I’m missing around 50% of Cataclysm’s Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor zones (not actually Loremaster of Cataclysm, but Loremaster of those continents). Does Greyed out but completed mean it’s actually completed?
Loremaster achievements only differ between factions by the zones that only have a story for one faction, contested zones don’t matter which side you got the achievement on.
Eastern Kingdoms Loremaster has Westfall, Redridge Mountains, Duskwood, Loch Modan and Wetlands for the Alliance and Silverpine Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills and Ghostlands for the Horde.
Kalimdor Loremaster has Darkshore and Bloodmyst Isle for the Alliance and Northern Barrens and Azshara for the Horde.
Draenor Loremaster has Shadowmoon Valley for the Alliance and Frostfire Ridge for the Horde.
Kul Tiras Loremaster and Zandalar Loremaster are two different achievements, one of them is enough for The Loremaster achievement.
