How does your actionbar look with shapeshifting?

Simple question. How do your action bars look with shapeshifting & therefore a switch of that bottom one? Mine aren’t optimal but I’m not sure how do to it exactly.

Mind posting a screenshot of just those?
Standard bars, lookalike, Bartender4, whatever. Just not the “boxed” ones.
Spec doesn’t matter, but IF possible, Resto.

Thank you:)

Just use the same, so you can memorize rotation.

Well, that’s the problem (I believe) You can’t use the same because abilities depends on form.

My actionbars are hidden, regardless of form.

I have a set of WeakAuras that show me my debuffs on the target (sunfire, moonfire, rake, rip), relevant CD’s (mostly heart of the wild & appropriate wild charge icon + usual resto CDs), and that’s about it.

My cat form bar is literally Rake, Shred, Swipe, Ferocious Bite, Rip, Maim, and that’s about it. Other abilities like Prowl, Dash, Wild Charge, Heart of the Wild, which are usable in cat form, but aren’t exclusive to it, are on other bars. Healing spells which pop me out of cat form are on Clique, and share the same binding as damaging abilities (so they don’t even need to be on any bars). Travel & Mount forms share bars with caster form, so I can quickly moonfire something to pop out of those forms. Bear form bar is empty, I only use bear form in m+, and only defensively.

For Feral, boomy and guardian i just fill the “bottom bar” with the specs “main” form, and then each form’s bar has it’s own rotational spells.

For resto i just put healing spells on “bottom” bar.

Hi Raeyn,

If you want to fully customise your bars and get away from bars that change depending on your form (which I personally find really annoying) then you’ll need to use a UI addon.

I love ElvUI personally, which has numerous bars you can reposition anywhere and use. I disable bar 1 which is the bar that will change when you shapeshift.

The other addon I then use is BindPad, which allows you to set your keybinds and macros in a 3rd party addon 9instead of the bars), leaving you to use the bars simply to show cooldowns etc. As Ancelyn said, weakauras is an excellent way to track all of your critical information. Luxthose has created an excellent version for every spec in the game that you can copy from his YouTube guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2REq7XQK9U&t=356s. So with that I only use a handful of small bars tracking information not in weakauras. Racial/profession abilities etc.

Finally, you can create 1 button macros that will cast spell x if you are in caster form and then spell y if you’re in cat form, for example, reducing the number of keybinds you need to be effective.

Hope this helps.
