How Faerin Lothar can wield and use shield without arm?

She is a Checkbox-Mary Sue character; She doesn’t need to make sense, be interesting, or whatever for the devs to add her.

When fantasy come in place, I love more alternative reality than pure fantasy… Sometimes fantasy amazes me with stupidity, like in Faerin case, you need to have brain size like hummingbird to wear jousting spear without horse on foot, no fantasy in the world can patch that. Otherwise character is OK.

Example of lore with alternative reality is mass effect lore for example. All is fantasy yet it holds some connection with reality and science.

Your point is off topic af. I just pointed, where true vilains and heroes dissapeared.
Arthas, Garrosh, Varian, Illidan etc… Even Deathwing was bada55. And also this good old feeling of animations and “cinematics”… Warbringers etc… even SL animations were cool. But we get some “nerdy glass makeupwearing human.” as some sort of vilain xD And hero. Lore should be reseted at the end of shadowlands by Jailer saying at the end “N’zoth won and obliterated everything” so he just reforge reality back to vanilla. So they should fix issues and make some things better.
But to be honest Mythic raiding is best, I like design, effort and skill req.

By doing two paragraphs dedicated to slamming that character.
For no other reason than ‘oh the shield is not realistic’.

So not off topic at all.
The name of the thread is literally " How Faerin Lothar can wield and use shield without arm?" :joy:

And I think Faerin is badass too (you don’t need to do the ‘bada55’ thing; the word badass is fine).

You propably dont know how strict is filter  so I am aware of usage these words.

Agree with your opinion, it feels badass for you.
Heroes now yapping about their feeling instead showing their feelings.
Look at Varian, he just tried made world better for his son, he smashed fel reaver and sacrifised himself so we could take down Gul’dan.
Anduin is joke compared to Varian.
Do you remember where Garrosh called Sylvanas by word started bi and end tch (removed for no reason). She knew it, Garrosh knew it.
DF Alexstraza? Yes she is hot… thats everything.
Chromie? Who do even care about this character, she is sad/happy…
Nozdormu… entire DF except Ebonhorn is bunch of weirdos.

Raszageth she was badass vilain, I liked her. But she could get more space in the game, wasted potential.
Sarkareth… weirdo, Fyrakk… insane but atleast badass fight and invasions.

I hope they wont ruin Iridikron, because he can be badass vilain. Xal’atah is good character, I hope they don’t ruin her selfish and opportunistic part.

Oh I do. And it’s rather silly that you can say badass, but not seperate those two words.

So you like edgy stuff. Nothing wrong with that.
But not everything needs to be edgy.

Take Faerin for instance:
A woman with major battle scars and a shield for an arm.
That sounds absolutely metal badass to me.

But they didn’t give her that over the top metal badass personality.
Which is something I can appreciate. We’ve seen that type of personality plenty of times in WoW.

Balancing her badass features with a more gentle, serene personality is one of the things that I like about her.

We don’t always need ‘big spiky muscled dudes’ and ‘flaming hot model women’ as characters. Variation is nice.

Now; with all that said: The balance has been skewed since DF, yes. There are less and less ‘traditional badass’ characters in WoW. And while I personally don’t mind that; I can acknowledge that that is the case and that it would be nice for the devs to balance things out better.

A bit of both gives different players different things to enjoy.

I think you said it much better than I did.
Yeah, our dear Faerin is made out of a bingo list of “underpriviledged” physical characteristics
