Tbh i think these should be banned from rated.
I think Blizz should implement their own omnibar or any cd tracking so I can feel free to uninstall addons if you do not track cds = bad for you and your teammates, not for others who use it.
I really cannot imagine not tracking at least core CDs so I can predict their moves a bit more clearly (it is obvious anyways that he used cds so ± you know when he will have them back). ngl, I often do not even need to be watching it, but I like to track cds just for case.
If you can play like that, big up
in Vanilla/TBC people would track CDs by either a stopwatch or using your own CDs to track their CDs.
Tbh Blizzards UI is just terrible without addons.
In league you canât track the CDs of your opponent, you need to either feel it or remember the time. You can only ping large CDs like flash to your team.
Translated to wow, it would mean that blizz UI should show trinket and some important long cd like evasion and cloak but thats it.
In return the game can be simplified
Omnibar is fine because it still requires some awareness to utilise properly.
Weakauras on the other hand are a complete and utter joke.
I donât use Omnibar but NameplateCooldowns instead.^^
the most important thing to track is mainly interrupts, for casters with all the game sounds and animations its hard to spot when you fake casted or not
In League, you also just assume enemies have their big CDs, unless used recently or called out by a teammate. Rest is just getting a feel for it.
This is exactly how I did it for years
Idk why someone would ask to remove Omnibar or addons like that. I understand that tracking too much stuff can be overwhelming but thatâs part of the skill.
People will basically judge on their CDs. They will keep trinket + wall biggest CD and then base on their CD like they did in AWC before BFA.
Thatâs what they explained how they rotate CDs.
Removing all the addons Gladius/Omnibar/BigDebuff etc. would be surely fun to see how it unfolds, ngl. Would love if they removed addons for PvP/PvE or make their own lesser addons
