Ive just returned to wotlk , i quited in Ulduar after clearing it on HM. Back then if you wanted to see Algalon it was pretty much impossible for a pug , only guilds or very organized (only 2 gdkp groups on pyrewood to be precise) GDKP’s could kill it (pre nerfs).
So far ive joined a single icc10 man normal run and it was not walk in the park , we made it to syndra and rl called it. Some bosses require pretty good understanding of whats going on and single person could wipe up the group easly.
Now im playing on firemaw and im still gearing to get into the better groups but i wonder what kind of group should i aim for , 4/12HC or 11/12HC.
Please lets not start insulting each other , im not asking to get carried i killed algalon week 2 something you could not achieve in 100 years looking at yours logs. I know very well how things work and that i need to climb the ladder first , i just wanted information about LK because i havent done ICC in 15 years and i just returned to the game after 8 months break
Im asking here because the advertisers say 4/12 HC or 11/12 HC or 9/12 HC , nobody specifies if that includes LK normal or not and i was a little bit confused.

Very easy. But compared to the other bosses, he is harder. It requires a lot of personal responsibility. If you fail Defile you wipe the raid.
If you mean ICC25 normal. Then it is not much harder than 10man ICC. Things do a bit more damage and some things have more of them. Like 3 valkyrs on LK instead of 1 and stuff like that.
Most PuGs however will fail at the same place where most PuG’s failed in the original ICC. They kill Saurfang, then go Plague wing and kill rot and/or festergut and then disband because they can not grasp the concept of bosses that is not in the style of Patchwerk.
Thank you very much for the detailed information. Thats what ive noticed too after rot/festergut things can go rough because single responsibility is greater and one person mistakes costs raid wipes.
So in conclusion i should first reach 5.7k gs and clear icc atleast 6/12 hc and then look to apply to big groups that do 11/12 HC for a chance of LK kill.
You need to kill all the prior bosses on HC to even attempt Lich King HC. It’s safe to say that a group that advertises 11/12 will not attempt LK HC. I doubt you’d get invited to a 12/12 run with less than 6k gs.
LK normal is about as hard as wing endboss on heroic. If your pug can kill saurfang hc, they have the heal/dps throughput for it, if they can kill at least some of putri/sindra/queen hc, they should have the coordination. LK hc i don’t think will ever be killed with pugs, not even after 30% buff.
