I am wondering if its propped up by something like a legendary since they are so high currently?
Ive been looking at the class page on wowhead, where it says ‘Windwalker generally struggles with single target damage, which can be a disadvantage in most Raid encounters.’ Is that true at all?
It’s not too bad I guess. Certainly not as bad as some classes.
Sure, on pure single target bosses you might want to switch talents (I literally just switch my standard Dance of Chi-ji for Hit Combo) and equip a different legendary than for other content, but that’s not that bad for most people… hopefully. Especially if you’re Kyrian and you get a free talent change every 4 hours from your servant.
The problem we face for the future though is that WW don’t really scale too well and once blizzard enables everyone to use 2 legendaries, it will be over for us, as ours don’t have any synergy between each other. Unless they add different ones in 9.1+.
The main problem for me is that you need 1 legendary for raid (Invoker’s Delight), 1 legendary for m+ (Jade Ignition), one legendary for PvP (Keefer’s Skyreach) and god forbid you have an offspec since you’d need 1-2 more. There’s no way to get enough soul ash to max them out, so you’re left with “unfinished products” until weeks after most people already have their BiS. So far I have Invoker at 225 and 3 others at 190 It will take me another 2 resets to get enough ash to get Jade Ignition to 235 (already got the base purchased)… It might be a good thing soul ash is so limited, there’s no way I’d make enough gold to buy the bases. Especially since economy crashed and I’m not even making 1/5 of the gold I did in 2-5 weeks after launch.
WW is godlike.
Ive been in a 14 PF with a WW that was dying each 2-3 packs and his overall damage was almost same as mine that never died and was managing 2-3 DoT’s on multiple targets while he was bursting his CD’s and gone back to cemetery + walking back to the group
