How Is This Rating Posibble?

Today i solo q. I won 6 Round and guess what ? i get 0 “zero” rating…

What is this? Blizard new system a joke ?

Ive had that with 5 wins. My mmr was 100 lower than my cr at the time.

So I assume that prior to your 6-0 you had a big losing streak. Maybe even gone 0-6 a few times? If so your mmr is so much lower than your cr that you need a few wins to balance them again before you start earning points.

Its not a good system for SS. When ratings are calculated in bulks of 6 rounds at a time you can get some stupid numbers, and situations where a perfect score gives no reward.

Also, I am pretty sure that if you went 0-6 after a long winning streak, you would not get 0 rating change. I think that cr would drop like a brick that ran out of fairy dust.

Thank you for explain. That make sense.

Happy to help. I agree that its not the best system for SS.
If you play up to 1500 for instance, then drop to 1k, and this happens again and again, you are clearly good enough to get 1500. But then after a few bad lobbies, some mistakes of your own, and some bad players on your team, you are forced to slag through 1k-1500 again and again, it makes it way harder to reach 1700.

To improve you need to face players of an equal skill or better. Constantly dropping down hundreds of rating makes it so you face worse players a lot of the time, and so its harder to improve.

So I think rating losses should be reduced drastically. If you are good enough to get 1800, you should stay around 1800 if you have a 50/50 win/loss rate. Then you might have a chance to get better and reach 2k.

It works out if in 100 games you win 1, then lose 1. You stay in place. But if you lose 10, then win ten, you are lower rating, since each loss makes the next loss worse if you didn’t have a win in between to slow the mmr plunge.

It really feels like 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Low rated games are harder than higher rated games.
As a healer, at least.

You can’t sit a CC and think “heh, it’s okay, this guy has turtle available”.
He’s just not going to press the button.

This happens sometimes, ye.

But what also happens a lot at low rating is that you get sapped, and no one gets attacked. One time i had a rogue sap me until i was immune, and then blind me. And when blind ended no one had taken any dmg.

There are also polys when they have very little impact, or spam cyclones when there is no pressure going on.

So it goes both ways. Bad cc can be good. If a mage puts me on poly dr, then ten seconds later they get a kill window, there is a good chance I can sit the half poly and still not fsll behind too much on the healing.
