The automated ban system in bgs kicked me and banned me, because a premade of overgrown kids reported me and forced me to rename on top of it. The system that as blue post stated is not automated, so was that another lie or what! I doubt any support member banned me 5 seconds after these guys messaged me “enjoy rename”. The last 2 tickets I opened got a response from blizzard after almost 2 weeks. I dont know if that was an accident or something, but will I have to wait 2 weeks to fix this system abuse or do you guys have better experience than me?
For appeals against penalties it must be reviewed by specialists, so it will be longer then the regular queue atleast is what you can expect.
Another player who is appealing is on 14 days at the moment.
Thanks for the answer. Thats funny, because the ban system was supposed to not be automated and handled by GMs before punishing anybody, as blizzard promised. So instead of them taking time and consider the matter in reality over their easily abusable automated system, they take time to fix the damaged person problem?? Jesus christ, how is this company alive at this point?

Vote with your wallet I say. The queue timers are blown up by several major product launches and some other issues, there’s 1 more major launch coming up so I don’t expect the queue to veer back anytime soon.
From what I’ve seen on both forums players insist on making multiple tickets to their issues or creating tickets for non-issues (suggestions etc) further increasing ticket timers and then also wonder why it’s taking longer for everyone to reach a GM

Well, too bad I just resubbed, so voting with wallet is hard at this point. I already unsubbed though. Im glad I didnt fall for the DF hype and bought it like many others. This is just ridiculous beyond words.
If you did not play the new sub time at all (extensively) you can request an automated refund, or otherwise also go for the manual refund ticket.

The average displayed ticket time is the longest ticket in queue and not your personal ticket response time.
You can still keep it open now for the queue and try get a refund, expected response time is 10ish days. Have fun wherever you go!

I read somewhere that the automatic refund mechanism will not process refunds on accounts with active account penalties. Those must be reviewed by a GM.
I wasn’t very sure if he added gametime after he got penalised tbh and if this is possible at all, so I read that as such. I know atleast if you have a future renewal date and get penalised that will get cancelled (or should be).
But otherwise if he did get penalised during a resub it’s true you cannot refund as that’s part of the penalty.
I already played this sub, so there is no way I get it back. Doesnt matter. Im just baffled by the fact that random jerks can cause me this issue on purpose, exploiting the system, while Blizz doesnt give a f about fixing it. And I can already see their zero effort reaction with no investigation, sending me a copy pasta answer redirecting me to code of conduct I read 5 times to be sure I didnt actually break it and before blizz handles this situation, it is all going to be over. Just another pissed customer. Who am I among a million of pissed customers…

My holy priest is called Holysiht. Obviously offensive and discriminating name. It was ok for years and years to use various forms of it on every second character I have, until now butthurt overgrown kids premade decided to report me for it and kick me out of bg after reacting to them insulting our team. This arived with a ban on top of that. Dont ask me why. The only thing I remember back in the past I was forced to rename my warlock Jabbathebutt. The reason was just “read our code of conduct” (spoiler, I read it and there is nothing about it, except vague lawyer talk that can cover literally anything imaginable). I guess everything except ArthasRocks is a possibly offensive name. What a coincidence that this forced rename came few seconds after we had few world mass fights in ice crown and we won both of them. There are just ppl exploiting the system and blizzard doesnt give a damn about it…
I am not surprised you ate a ban along with a forced rename if that was your char name. You… actually deserved it imo.
You only got away with it for so long because nobody reported you until now. Blizzard do not actively police names. They rely on player reports.
Im not going to say weather u deserved it or not.
I will say though, you provided ammunition to report for, id in future just immediately ignore those players. Ive taken forum bans for biting bait prior and learned. There are players that will sadly try to get reactions out of you to report.
But yeah, blizzard wont hunt down names, they will rely on reports to find those whove done it.

And no, the ban has nothing to do with the name itself. It seems that you dont understand, how this works. It is an automated system. Blizzard didnt even notice it happened. These guys just abused the system to hurt somebody. That should be punished, not me. I didnt do anything to them. Im just trying to get along as everybody else in these bad times.
Your name doesn’t bother me in the slightest, except for the fact that it was quite obviously against the naming rules of the game, and you went out of your way to circumvent the crude naming filter in order to acquire your names.

I agree with you that I gave them a free first hit by a creative name, but everybody loved it. Its just sad that I have to think of everybody in this game abusing everything they can just for sake of spite. Unfortunately americans are lazy enough to just ignore reason and common sense. They dont give a damn about what happened, that its just an angry kid revenge. Nobody can actually ever get offended by it. Ppl actually messaged me many times its a great name. I guess no fun is allowed in NA and they dont give enough F to discern, what is a system abuse, what is actually harmful and what is completely fine.
If we are into extremism, we can just go and mass report and get Venruki banned for his monk’s name. Its literally the same situation like my name, some might see inappropriety in it, but Im not mron enough to do it. A game is supposed to be entertaining at first place. Too bad this mixture of wow’s garbanzo community and NA stupidity is so hard to swallow.
