How long does it take to level to 60?

So i just resubbed to tryout wow classic and leveling exp. is so horrible. No groups, no nothing, huge downtime between mob kills, ridic walking lengths etc.

How long does it take to level to 60? I read that it will take like half a year if you play 10 hours per week, is it true?

It takes anywhere between 5 days to 14 days or more of game time to level to 60. If you don’t follow a guide and just go with the flow, you are looking at 10 days plus. Or 240 hours. Calculate yourself how long it is going to take you.
And yeah, dungeon groups are pretty scarce now, most people levelling alts prefer to get boosted by lvl 60s in dungeons to get the levelling over with.
Best of luck to you.

Well outside of the lack of groups, it’s pretty much intended.

The idea is that monthly subscriptions wasn’t an easy sell back then so they maximised the amount of time you get from it. It was fully intended that it would take half a year to reach max level if you played like a regular human being.

That sounds about right.

I recently levelled a character to 60. (The first one since classic re-release) and I think my /played was about 10 days or so. Mostly questing, maybe two or three dungeons.

In comparison, my first level 60 back in 2006 took me 16 days /played.

So 10 days, 240 hours, at 10 hours a week that’s 24 weeks, or just under six months.

Concurring with the others, it does depend on exactly how you play. Based on myself and other things I remember, I’d estimate 1-60 takes approximately six months, though naturally it can be much shorter or longer. If you’re truly power levelling on an easy to level class (like hunters), you can be done much faster. If you’re enjoying your time but focusing on levelling, it’ll probably take 4-5 months. If you’re enjoying your time, socialising, and doing other things, maybe 6 months. If you’re really just chilling and roleplaying (like I do), it can take the better part of a year. If you’re really pushing yourself, however, it can take barely 5 days.

If you can play those 10 hours in longer sessions you can do it in about 9 days played

Plenty of groups visiting dungeons on Zandalari Tribe on both factions. You need to research realms properly.

This.

I’ve started my Horde alt on Zalandar Tribe as my old server (Venoxis - GER) got layered. I’m now lvl 40 with a shaman and there are always alot of people looking for dungeons and elite qs. There are some boosts, but people seem to prefer the ‘old way of leveling’.

between 120~500 Hours played time.
depend on how you’ll play the game.
“if you focus leveling only/buy boosts OR if you want to enjoy questing”

Dont forget depents on what class you want lvl
for example i like warr but cant stand it on lvling it can take ages

Half year 10h a week sounds accurate if you are not having boosts or other ways of powerlevelling. My 1st 60 was 16d after launch with 8d played. 2nd goes slower 14d played and 54 yet.

So I leveled to 60 in 30 days, I grinded an average of 6-8 hours a day. Doing quests, dungeons and maybe a bit of grinding.

If you take it easy it will take pretty long, but you can focus on an optimal path, there are guides online on exactly which quest to pick up (it is probably less fun than exploring and doing whatever, but if leveling faster is what you want, that’s what will help).

So make sure when you logout you park yourself in an inn and it will not be too bad as you’ll be playing mostly rested. So your /played time could become like 60% of what it normally takes.

Also I levelled a warrior, which is one of the worst classes to level.

I mean like

lmao

60 is overrated just pvp in 50 for more players to pvp
