Im a 2.3k arena player in cata-wrath-tbc
Just returned to try out retail from classic, so no it’s not a l2p issue.
The system seems dumb as hell. Everytime I get a new item i have to look up 5 different websites if it’s even an upgrade or not
I gotta get some ressource to cleanse my items wth
Lots of things changed since Cata. There’s nothing even remotely close to Cata design.
Well, u can always go back to classic if the current system doesnt suit you 
but about the corrupted gear: u can take it to MOTHER in the chamber of heart and cleanse it for 5 corrupted mementos and wear it as normal.
Proceeds to bug out and just stand there
Great, now I have to relog and start the instance again 
You know, i don’t feel like a champion when i gotta bring my dirty layndry to the MOTHER. 
Or when I’m teaching wrathion to read.

Where did i state it was like cata? youre stating it’s a ‘‘l2p’’ issue. Simply said it’s not
I’m referring to the mechanics of corruption, cleansing and resistance, not class design.
Rofl, imagine the ‘‘We are the champions’’ song playing everytime you achieve something related to Heart of Azeroth and magine saying champion 
Oh and @Droktar, you can get the corrupted momentos for cleansing corruption by doing certain content, the minor visions in the zones you do 8.3 dailies in, for example.
It’s a risk vs reward system, dont want it? Cleanse it.
I find it a bit funny how the reason given in scrapping reforging was that “people couldnt just wear the upgrades they got from clearing content immediately” and now people need to wait weeks for them to be able to use their upgrades.
…or downgrade it at an NPC, going through beats not unlike reforging.

This is the entire questline. As others have pointed out it takes some time to unlock. The first time I didn’t time it but on alts with the skips it was around two hours.
