Hi all

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out when I started playing WOW. I know it was around the original TBC launch (I think it was just before).

I know you can do /played and it tells you how many hours you’ve played, but I want to know what date I actually started playing. Its due to a discussion I’m having with my husband, who I met ingame, who started playing probably before I did, but wanted to confirm :slight_smile:

I think you can submit a request to get a copy of your account data

I’ve once seen a topic where people said it contains the creation date of the wow account

Do mind that it’s probably a lot of text though.

Until recently it showed up on a specific old webpage which hadn’t been deleted but now it 404s which is annoying.

If you request the data you can find the correct information by searching following (assuming the format hasn’t changed since I requested it):

  • Account Create Date under Battlenet shows the creation date of the overall Battle.net account, not WoW. This is located almost at the start of the document. This won’t be correct date if you created WoW account before Battlenet accounts existed.
  • Wow_account_created should find the actual WoW account creation date if you created it before the Battlenet accounts existed. The list also has the first login and other info.
