I had a priest that I never thought I’d play again, mostly because it was hard to keep up with alts, so I’ve deleted it.
But with the advent of Warbands that changed!
Since characters are only available to restore within 90 days of deletion I’m wondering if I’ll have time to undelete it or if should I get to work and level another one.
If anyone knows of anything I’d appreciate the info!

The developers said in the blog that it won’t be down for any longer then “several weeks”
Characters above level 50 will not be deleted.
We’ve seen several conflicting answers whether if GM’s can manually restore toons, but you could try a ticket to see if they can flush them out for you before the developers re-enable it.
It depends what level it was when deleted. I saw a post on the American forum about which ones get perma deleted and which ones get a time period.
But my best guess would be after the actual launch.

Level 50+ are not purged
A character is eligible for restoration depending on its level at the time you deleted it:

5 months ago I deleted all my five 70 lvl characters. Some days ago I decided to play again and I realized I cant undelete them for some warband reasons.
My question is: When the service is again available, shall I be able to undelete them all the same day? Is there any plan of compensation for not being able to undelete for those weeks?
In case I m not being able to undelete them the same day, this means that all achievemens, reputation etc earned by the one and only available undeleted character will not be shared with the still deleted ones?
So, in the latter case, if I want to make this warband thing to function for all my characters i must undelete one, when available, then not playing for one week, then undelete the second one, then continue not playing the second week too, then undelete the third one and so on, until all my characters will be undeleted and warband together?
You were able to undelete characters at will prior to the service being unavailable, with plenty of warning given. So no, I don’t think there will be “compensation.” Likely it will be back to waiting a while.
I don’t see any reason why you need to stop playing as you go through the process of undeleting your characters. The things you will gain will not stop your progression. The lesson is don’t delete your characters simply because you stop playing.
You might be able to re-level that character faster than to undelete it. Unless you need it for a specific reason, you can get a character up to level 70 very fast through remix or the pre-patch event.
I am not aware of any special rules coming in for when the service comes back up but we simply don’t know.
The standard c/d for restoring characters is 7 days.
They actually relaxed the limit before they temporarily closed it off so it gave more then enough chance.
No doubt the limit will return when it does again though, at least that’s what I’m expecting.
Bliz what are you doing? It s a month character restoration is unavailable and “my patience appreciated while you work on a resolution” doesn’t seem to be true.
Deleting characters is wrong game perspective, but focusing on RL issues is most important. You now oblige me out of the blue - i didnt have any touch with the game for more than half of a year - to stay aside and wonder whether the characters would ever be restored. Maybe after 1st season I guess or next expansion.
Maybe on Friday when the early access will kick in. Maybe. I hope
