I have 2 of each class over 50+ but managed to cap 4 chars so far(pala,warrior,shaman,mage)

I usually keep 2 characters active, and a third semi-active. Trying to do 4 is too much for me. The rest just sit and rot at max level until I decide to swap an active character for them.

It depends from class,for some i find conduits more annoying then legendaries,but if i have to craft 3 legendaries…

Shaman: 2 orcs, 1 dwarf, 1 draenei
Warlock: 1 orc, 1 gnome, 1 goblin
Warrior: 2 humans, 1 dwarf, 1 orc, 1 mag’har orc, 1 goblin, 1 troll
Death knight: 1 human, 1 draenei
Monk: 3 pandaren

I basically only play resto shaman. This one is an alt i just play a bit for fun, my main is alliance rsham. Also have a resto druid/moonkin i play for fun in low keys/hc raid.
Have alot of alts on lvl 50 and below, but leveling in SL is such a tedious chore that they will probably be stuck at lvl 50 until next exp.

Play as in ‘do actual content and progression’, just the one. BM hunter.
I do have a small army of alts to farm mounts and whatnot (most of whom are BM hunters too, with the exception of 3; a warlock, shaman and death knight).

Back in late BFA I had 8 max level characters of different classes and a bunch of lvl 110.
Didn’t bother play more than one in SL, but that’s mostly tied to goldmaking and how I didn’t find the motivation to farm new professions
May perhaps give them a chance before 9.1
Imo as long as your goal isn’t the story then repeating the same leveling zones can be pretty enjoyable. For me it’s all about gathering professions and trying to earn as much gold as possible while leveling up a new alt.
Since that gold pay for my sub at least I never feel like I completely wasted my time, and the prices of old mats on the AH is pretty attractive.

I am yes. About a week ago.
I just missed playing. I’m not playing any other games at the moment, so yeah…
So I figured; if I try and go into WoW with an adjusted mindset, maybe that’ll help.
And so far it did. Don’t get me wrong; there’s still plenty about SL that I don’t like, but I’ve shifted my expectations a bit so I’m not constantly disappointed.
Anyway, when I came back I wanted something different. A race change, but with that came a free name change and I figured; why not go for a more gender neutral name so that I can try playing a male character too when I feel like it.

Back on topic: I still only play BM hunter basically.

I mainly play my warrior but I also like to play this mage and my warlock
I have:
- Gnome Warlock
- Dwarf and Draenei Paladins
- Gnome and Dwarf Rogues
- Dwarf Priest
- Human Warrior
I wouldn’t mind rolling the unrolled classes too, but right now my priority is to skill up my already existing profession alts.
(squints) What do you man “play”, exactly? 
I also started with Paladin and Mage, and my sense then was much the same as yours - they are nicely complementary classes, entirely different, and with a lot of variety within each class. My Mage oustripped my Paladin, but I love them both.
I levelled all classes for the Class Halls in Legion, and it was worth doing, including finding out what classes I completely don’t “get” - Shaman, Monk, Priest.
In Shadowlands, I’m not playing much. I’ve taken my Mage, Paladin, Demon Hunter, and warlock to 60 to cover the Covenants, but unlike Class Halls, they really don’t feel worth the effort. (Also the agonising problem of which unfortunate gets Maldraxxus.)
I play Prot war, holy pala, rogue gonna play affli/destru warlock for tbc classic too.

I go through stages of what character to play. Ive been enjoying druid last few weeks so only really played druid.
I have warrior (220) priest (220) mage (207) and this druid (212). Druid is the most recent 60 I have. Just working on upgrading my gear to 220 and capping conquest xD
I play almost all of the classes. My last played classes has to be priest and monk, tough I have a level 50 priest and I had a level 50 monk (i think i deleted that one), both old characters I finally maxed at the end of BfA.
In SL I don’t have a main, but I have 4 level 60’s and two of those (troll hunter, human DK) I have done some end game content.
My favorite class, or classes are paladin and warrior, leveling a prot warrior now as my other warriors are all fury spec’d. But I like almost all of the classes
