Blizzard said that these expansions would be shorter, so I assume they mean that they will carry on with the SL and DF patch cycle of 2 major patches and will just cut out the Fate/Awakened season, meaning that instead of expansions releasing every 2 yeast it will be every 1.5 years.

Fated/Awakened seasons came in the place of the .3 major patch we had in previous expansions, so no we wouldn’t have had content droughts.
1: That’s their aim. Nothing is concrete.
True
We’ll see if we like they’ve been saying that since like wod
Safe to say at least is that it won’t 3 patches split into 3 expansions, like some are saying.
Yeah it’s laughable people believe that tho this is the forums
I mean it just doesn’t make sense. If 1 patch is 1 expansion this will without a doubt kill the game, the majority of people won’t pay full price for 1 patch every 1-2 years, thats just insane. Like ok we can all agree that Blizzard are greedy, but it’s just stupid to kill your only cashcow.
They’re a buissness. this idea would kill it tho
Exactly
We will have infinite expansions because Blizz will always create a new mean boss who wants to destroy the Universe. It is boring but this is the best Blizz can do.
I wouldn’t mind if they skipped these ‘fated’ seasons and just went into pre-patch for the next expansion faster. I mean; it’s fun gearing up in this season, but doing all this old content again, part of which we have just been doing during s3; meh.
If this season didn’t have Remix as an extra option I would’ve been quite bored.
So yeah… Them just doing 3 seasons in an expansion to release the next one a bit faster would be fine with me.
To be fair, isn’t that the both of you missunderstanding what they said?
To me it sounded like they meant 1 major patch each expansion, not: that each expansions would be like a major patch.
