How many Specs will have an MS effect in 10.1?

they take less damage by virtue of the fact they kite
well, if they kite

This logic is also the reason why many RPGs have had the problem of balancing defensive builds, because players often figure out that reducing incoming damage by 20% is not as good as reducing incoming damage 100% by killing your opponent.

The logic Clementine presents is that your reducing damage taken by 100% when you are out of range of a melee, and thus this is mathematically speaking better than reducing incoming damage 50% by using a defensive CD, and as such ranged has better damage reducing capabilities in theory.

Ofcourse in practice Blizzard gave arms warriors so many gapclosers that it doesnt really apply anymore…

maybe not against arms warriors
but overall, against melee, and even other ranged, the damage taken is less
this may not show up in individual games, for instance in an SS game where there is 3 melee vs 1 ranged and they train him.
but overall, ranged specs are less exposed to damage

yes but without sharpen

it’s not only sharpen that’s the problem
so many classes now have self healing and CC
say you leave MS for warrs, remove it from others. cool
but then warrs are left with MS, high damage, high mobility, and aoe fear, a stun, self healing, slows, and an excellent execute
what can other classes really bring that a warrior can’t then? it becomes a mandatory pick.

if anything, it would be more beneficial to remove MS from the game entirely as it currently stands, and keep things like sharpen. keep MS as an active tool for kill windows, not a permanent debuff

Agree.

I would love to see skills removed from classes again to make them more unique. Like, my main is rogue, I dont mind losing Crimson Vial. I should be squishy and easy to kill if I fail my assassination, why am I allowed all the tools AND a heal I can use in stealth ontop of that?
